Jagex detect RWT?

Can Jagex detect RWT ?
Claims have been made by numerous mods on the recent Q&A thread

They can tell how long someone has been on your friends list.

 

I highly doubt this is what Jagex will do, most likely attempting to scare users into believing they can.

Even if they do it off IP's, it could still be your brothers account. I highly doubt anything is in place at all to combat this.

 

maybe they can tell if the account has been botted on and if that account transfers their cash then theyll ban both accounts

I was thinking the same, I cannot see how they can detect a trade via drop / party chest. Anyway , I will add the quotes and elaborate on my original post so that it can be discussed.

Imo they are just trying to scare us. Besides being on the friends list there really isn't a way to differentiate between someone giving away gold because they are quitting, someone giving gold to their friend who just started, or someone doing RWT.

 

If this is the case.. May as well do staking to xfer cash , as normally for a stake you will never of been in contact with that person , so it's basically impossible to moniter..

Thats exactly it. Like for the past years they've been saying there macro detection system is/getting much better. Sure, its better mind explaining why theres 50x more botters then there were in 2007.

Good point. But you'd be trading the money to a level 3 though, since he/she would have just started playing. Pretty sure the majority of gold buyers aren't level 3.

 

And I doubt you would be giving him a whole lot of money.
1milsh at the most. I wouldnt give someone starting out much more than that.

as others have said, I highly doubt they REALLY have any high tech detection for RWT. It's just too hazy to justify banning an account even if they are acting completely suspicious. There are too many variables and with free trade any one could be the reason large amounts of money are being traded, and none of the reasons could be for RWT like gold buying/selling.

With that being said, any attempts to conceal the gold sell/buy should be more than enough to hide your operation, or at least keep it less noticeable than those who are blatantly just trading millions to different accounts every day.
