Need help with my Black Ops Headset [Mic isnt working!]

Okay, so i need help with my new headset, They are working well except Mic, I just tested to speak on it with Steam but i did not hear nothing, but then i noticed something wierd, i started to look at this



I started to hear something, when i knocked it i heard everything, but when i tried to speak on it, Nothing :S Anyone having same problems or anyone know how to solve this? Help is appreciated.

1. Yes i have mic on

 

Have you configured your mic to your computer? It might not be plug and play so it might need to be installed. Also try syncing it to your computer if you can/havent already.

 

Make sure you have the right mic selected in windows itself and in the config of black ops aswell. Besides that, check if the mute button isn't accidently on or something.

 

Id just leave the broken mic and buy a separate new mic.
Well that is if the mic is 100% broken.
