Story makes no sense and doesn't make this seem any more or less legit than it would on face value. It's unlikely that one day something clicked in your 10 year old mind that you were going to play RuneScape for 7 years NOT because it's fun but because one day you could make 500 (give or take) dollars and get a shitty car. If your story is true then sir you have psychosis because out all the alternatives to making money you chose RuneScape, and stuck with it for 7 years. i live 20 miles from town in the middle of nowhere in the mountains, everyone where i live is dirt poor and everything on everyone's mind is "drugs drugs drugs, gota get high gota get high" there are no jobs here, and theres no way for me to even get to a job its 10+ miles any way you look at it with parents that dont got a car, there was no other option, and it did not click that this was worth money untill i was 15 tbh up till then it was fun then i grinded nonstop.

You're 17 man, a senior in highschool. Its a nice sob story and all, but even if you do make a cool sum of cash, you cant just run away and live on your own with that. Do you even know the amount of variables you have to consider before moving out on your own?

You might get 500 dollars for the account, maybe more, but no more than 1000. You cant live off that. I moved out when I was 18, my parents didn't buy me anything other than what was required for them to not go to jail. But did I play Runescape banking on the hope that I could one day sell my work and live free and clear?

Hell no. That just isnt realistic. I worked full time and went to community college, and I just BARELY scraped by with rent and food.

Just wait it out, get a job, and don't waste your time on a hope that this account is going to be your lucky break.

I understand that your parents may be losers, but you have no moral obligation to them under any circumstances because:

A. You didn't choose to be brought into existence.
B. You can't choose your parents.
C. The family unit you are assigned to is completely unbiased.

Which means, if you were SERIOUS about going away to restart your life somewhere else, you would. Take some of the money you supposedly saved as a 10 year old, hop on a bus into town and get a job at the local burger joint.

If your parents are indeed what you describe them to be I'm 100% sure they wouldn't mind one bit. Your parents aren't holding you back, you are the only one holding you back.

I can't stand when people use their parents or their childhood as an excuse for being a loser because I had no mother as a child and my father was jailed most of my life and I made something of myself without their help.

So as far as this story goes, it makes no sense and this is a self-centered plot to extort more money out of people for a video game by playing on their primitive instincts.

i have a place setup where i am going to go, have plans arranged and have talked with a lawer about sueing my parents when i turn legal age, and he says i can, i am very smart even though none of you think it, im top of all my classes and ect i am the best of the best in my school, but not only do my parents not give me nothing, they make sure i cant do anything myself, like a job if i was ever offered one, they have called the police on me before for me trying to ride my bike to work, so dont tell me what to do with my life please i just want the money.

20 miles is sure a long way to walk, and I don't think a school bus would go that far out of its way for only you, seeing as how you live on a dead end road.

So, either your parents crack dealer is right next to your highschool, or they actually care about you.

 

1. You cannot sue your parents unless they've stolen from you or have committed crimes against you, and if that's the case you call police not a fucking lawyer.

2. If they call the police when you leave the house and not give any indication of where you are/are heading I'd say they really fucking care about you, I wish I had parents like that.

3. By keeping tabs on you and making sure you're going to school, and because you say "I'm the best of the best in my class", it probably means your parents are doing SOMETHING right.
