Improving computer speed for botting

Are there any settings or programs I can use to boost computer speed to let me run more bots at one time? Currently I can run very many at all. I'm using Windows xp, any help would be appreciated.

 

Nothing you can really do besides closing out all of your programs besides the bot, unless you get more RAM.

 

Get a better computer, kill explorer.exe & extra programs, turn your bot to realtime priority, turn runescape settings to minimum.

That's all I can think of for now.

As for future responses, exclude buying any new hardware please.

 

Ctrl+Alt+Delete --> Task Manager --> Processes (Select your bot's process, should be something like javaw.exe or *********) --> Right Click Set Priority --> Realtime

 

you can disable all running programs that aren't core windows functions.
you can also buy a RAM upgrade if your motherboard supports it.

you can also overclock your processor with your computer's bios (NOT RECOMMENDED) <-- unless you have a watercooling system.

put all paint options on lowest when running the bot.

Part out old computers for there RAM sticks

Run your bots off a SSD, only buy a small one for botting, store everything else on HDD
Reboot your computer every week
Linux runs quicker and allows you to run for longer amounts of times than Windows - Get it if you have two computers, install on one and run your bots on that
Get a cheap graphics card and run your VGA's through that (ever since I started running two screens off one graphics card my computer has been a lot faster for gaming)
Uninstall programs you no longer use with control panel
Disable paint when botting with Nexus, takes away the progress bar(s) and turn them on when you want to check
CCleaner

 

run > services.msc
and you can pick what services load and do not load upon startup

run > msconfig , what runs upon startup like if aim loads or whatnot

adjust your page file to 1.5x your ram.
example if you have 2 gigs do 3500-3500
set this on a separate drive than the os unless your os drive is much faster. creates less fragmentation this way too.

download ccleaner and remove extra crap, clean the registry

get a good defrag program unless you run solid state drives.
o and o is great, defraggler is good and free.

i think theres a few more things but i can't remember exactly how to get to them. i switched to a 64 bit cpu and win 7. they blow xp away, and i was a die hard xp fan forever.
never switched to vista. 64 bit xp sucks though sadly.

also make sure you're running the bots in fixed window, minimum graphics.

 

Try run game booster after 1-2 hours should clear 100-200 mb of ram.

 

also i should warn you that you shouldnt just kill random programs in CNTL ALT DELETE thing. some programs need to be run like: Taskeng or something else run by anythign besides ur computer name

 

You can't, your computer simply wont let you and you'll be prompted with something like: Access denied, action cannot be done or something along those lines.

 

Nothing much you can do except run, gamebooster and simply buying a better internet connection/computer.

 

Another option however more complex is over clocking your computer it does work.

gamebooster and apps like this are doing what i and others described.

if you wan't your computer to run well learn about how it works so you can figure out the bottlenecks.
software is overhead, and if you can tweak your system without it you're far better off.

people saying just buy a better internet connection and hardware don't know much and the USA must just love you! there's things you can tweak in your network card, it's possible your router has horrible qos packet scheduling.
