I clicked the link ( key logger)

Hey i clicked it but i closed it right afterwards. It began to load and i closed it immediately, is there a virus on my computer? I don't want to log on to runescape now. Should i reformat my computer?

Doing a system restore is not always effective since most modern malware infects the restore files. If you restore to an earlier date you might get even more infected.

The proper way to approach this is first determine whether or not you even are infected. This can be done by closing every running application you have, and watching for unknown processes in process explorer. If that turns up nothing, check for outgoing connections using netstat -a. If that seems clean, you should close all applications that utilize your network and run wireshark overnight, checking if that picks up on any unknown activity overnight.

EDIT: If this kid's using the 2010 java drive-by exploit, it's been patched a while ago, and the code he's using doesn't belong to hack-forums. It's PoC written by whoever discovered the bug, which defiantly isn't any 12 year old from hf.

IT can help catch some though. The easiest thing, is to never click links without checking them first.
