Fatal car accident

I was walking home, I live in a quiet neighbourhood. Suddenly I see, approx 30m before me, a truck riding outta my street. I also see a car, riding too fast. My heart stopped beating for a moment and the truck rides into the car, and the car rides into the brook. I hear a lot of noise, and immediately grab my cellphone. I called, a long with a few others, the emergency services. I didn't move a muscle, and 10 minutes later they arrived. I saw how they tried to rescue the people from the car, and I saw the trucker crying, and I heard him screaming. Two people died. I am shocked.

 

Mate, if you need to then get counselling. Seeing a traumatic event can seriously fuck with your head. If you find yourself struggling to sleep and can't get it out of your head then it might be the best solution; feel free to drop me a PM because I'm usually online (via phone internet) to talk.

Really sorry you had to go through this, my thoughts are with the families who lost their loved ones.

 

Thanks for the kind words, I don't think it will damage me mentally, I just was shocked to see it. I've been thinking all day about the trucker, and about the family of the two people who died. Their lives are ruined in seconds. It's unbelievable and horrible.

 

omg, seeing something awful like that is always a shock. It is so saddening and eyeopening. I recall seeing a van hurling through the air on the highway when i was young and my mom said she saw the family inside (including children). We did not see the end result because we were driving the opposite way, but i am sure it was devastating. It was tragic just to see that part of it, i cant imagine how you feel having seen the whole event.

 

damn man sucks to see ppl dying like that
a girl from my class saw someone jumping off the bridge like one meter in front of her. I don't think she got over it yet and it happend a few months ago.

That's crazy. Do you know who's fault it was? Teaches us to drive safely.

 

That would probably shake me up quite a bit. I have never seen some one die before and especially when your just doing your normal business and smack it happens right in front of you. I hope your okay man.

 

Thats like a one in a million chance that you get to see something like that. I saw someone get hit on a motorcycle before

 

You honestly don't believe it could happen to you until it actually does, or at least until it happens right in front of you.

I've recently had an experience with death and it's put a few things into perspective. My ex's mom died on new years this year. We were still together at the time. It's pretty horrible.

i used to live next to an auto junkyard. I used to see these types of smashed up cars and autos all the time. Sometimes I would see a broken window with blood, and hair all over it where people had slammed through the front windshield. It still haunts me, and i cant' believe actually witnessing something like this :s

Ive seen someone take their own life, and it makes you wonder and all sorts of things go through your head. One minute they are there, then they are gone. Just stay strong, and without sounding bad to the families of loved ones, it will slowly fade and not effect you that much in the upcoming weeks.

Wow man that is a terrible situation. I wouldn't be able to move a single muscle after witnessing something like that.

 

My life has been hard, not really in the way you've put it, but alot of my closest family has been dieing or becoming incompitent with diseases such as alzheimers etc, It's really hard. So i can understand what your going through on an emotional level, death isn't frightfull untill you witness it.

 

Sad to hear. I witnessed a car crash when I was skating home from work a while back but not near as severe as this...

The people who died was a couple of an elderly man and woman. They were both over 70 years old and died instantly without feeling any pain. Any death is a great and awful loss, but I am relieved that there isn't a young child left alone on this world or something like that.

Same thing happened to me a while ago, when an elder women died at our house, was shocked for a long time but got over it eventually. Just a thing to forget and move on with.
