    Downgraded my case and graphics card since this is just for botting so I don't need anything special. Couldn't find any HDD's on sale but ill look some more. Got a cheaper 750W psu. Keeping the windows 7 cause I'd like a copy just because. Got the corsair H70 which I was originally going to go with. How many bots do you think i'll be able to run?

    Both systems would be sick, I really have been thinking about making my own computer one of these days but I'm too lazy, I have already swapped 90% of my old tower at home but I don't have it at my apartment :(

    mate go to tigerdirect.com you can get a caviar black HD on sale just about every other week, i got a 2TB off their for 59.99

    @grave sheesh man i wish i could just "feel" like spending $500 on a computer... my fiance would freaking kill me xD i've been saving up for a computer off what i make on questing, i've got a case and a HD but nothing else... irl issues kinda halted my new computer plans :/

    Usually tigerdirect is overpriced compared to Newegg. I repel girls so I don't have to worry about my fiance not letting me get a new computer.

    Sounds good, but I'd still recommend not getting Windows 7. You can buy a legitimate key from someone for 1/10 the price and have Ultimate instead of premium. Anyway, if you can overclock your six-core to 4GHz or above, you should be able to run 30 no problem, if not more. Just make sure all your parts are compatible.

    I was under the assumption you needed to enter the key online to download it? How will I do that with no pre-existing Os? And if that $600 or so rig your building will run 20 bots should I just go with one similar lol?

    Like Rick said, download the OEM Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit from a torrent website. Then use a legitimate key.

    Okay let allow me to explain what determines how many bots you can run.

    Processor: 3.3 x 6 = 19.8
    RAM: 16GB

    vs.

    Processor: 2.8 x 6 = 16.8
    RAM: 8GB


    For me to run 20 bots, I would probably have to run it using Low RAM mode, etc. Now, your RAM is kind of more than you need for your processor. So you'll end up maxing out your processor before you do your RAM, unless you overclock.


    Processor OC: 4 x 6 = 24
    RAM: 16GB

    So basically, you can run 1.4x the amount of bots I can. If you overclock a bit more, around 1.5x
