Changing account name?

I'm currently trying to return back to runescape and was thinking about selling my wow account. I was wondering if it's possible to change name of my wow account because it's the one i use for school. Thanks for looking! first post ^^

 

What do you mean your name, do you mean your email? If so you can change the email on the WoW account. I believe you CAN change the name but it requires a fee.

 

as in your actual real life name? no you are not allowed to change that due to real life trading prevention. you can change almost everything else, including address, phone number, email address, etc.

 

Pure, I heard from a friend who was lame and made his account through his mother's name. This was some 5 years ago and everyone makes fun of him because his real ID is his mothers name, so he called them up to get it switched to his, and it runs for some $15. He might have been lying though, but I doubt he'd lie about something like this.

 

that is a lie, even if it has the same last name it still does not matter. my brother used to share accounts with me and he eventually quit, i explained the situation to blizzard. they did not care that we were sharing the account, but they could not change the name of the account due to liability reasons with the original owner, due to that is the last string of original information that cannot be changed, incase it was stolen

On the contrary, a name change is actually possible. You just have to file extensive paperwork, etc. One of my friends got married, and she filled out a form and provided documentation proving the authenticity of her name change.

Obviously, if you're trying to do a name change on an account that's not yours and that you've obtained from real life trading, then it's not probable.
