Zombie 32b Account Recovery

If zombie is the only one in possession of the recovery information then surely he is liable? Regardless of who sold the account to who. If he is literally the only one who is able to make the recovery then there’s only one person to blame?

not surprised pixel refused to refund if he has no access to recovery information.

Ye, honestly what the fuck are the mods doing. OP claims he's the original owner, he is the only one who can recover since he claims he never gave the recovery info to anyone else he sold it too. OP should be liable and pay back both his victims, obviously want though since hes a 1k donor sythe has his back. Congrats zombie on the 32b and the account back. Check back in a few months we will see the same account on the market again.

 

Also to add, sythe's tos for account selling its bullshit, can just state you're not responsible after a month and recover and profit. If and account is sold by an OG owner they should be liable for recoveries for life, if the account gets banned or rwt then sure thats not on them, but its obviously not banned just recovered.

Ruling is consistent with what was expected. Honestly I’m surprised Zombie even got a TWC.

1) the recovery warranty time had expired, so surprised he was held liable at all
2) the account passed ownership so multiple parties POTENTIALLY could recover.
3) wealth on the account is crapshoot and no way to prove, @Anomaly could have just done what degenerate gamblers do and get cleaned then try to recoup losses with a scam accusation.

I don’t expect the wealth side to be upheld as a debt. But even when an account is sold on, the buying party would need a lot of information to recover it later down the line.

Agree to an extent, but as far as the recovery itself, that's very hard to do even after being transferred multiple times. Jagex wants the exact creation details, isp used, og password, etc. Any of the people past the og have slim chances (less than 5 percent id say) of actually submitting a successful recovery.

As far as the wealth yea its unfortunate but very hard to prove unless homie was a streamer who plays everyday and has vods to back it up.

 

Also to add, I've had my own accounts banned for botting and tried the 'hacked' option and went through the recovery route to try and have them unbanned. Even being the OG owner knowing the details I've had trouble trying to get jagex to accept my recovery appeals.

 

You don’t necessarily need all that to recover accounts lol. I bought an account in 2021 and I’ve been able to do recoveries on it to squash bans and I have none of that info.

Example:

1. I make a credit card payment
2. I change the password 3x to have passwords
3. I say I moved houses when I bought the account
4. I go to Hans to get creation date
5. Jagex is stupid/inconsistent and lets me recover

is this always the case? No. But it’s possible.

 

Yeah but you’re black as fuck so that’s just part of the reparations for your people, seriously though the chance of pixel being able to recover an account like that with so much history is slim to none.
