What attack style should i use when dueling?

hey guys, i have a maxed mele account and i plan on staking. i plan on using whip/dds, or just whip. i am wondering if i should keep the attack style on "flick" or "controlled". need suggestions. thanks.

what i plan on doing for the rules:
no food
no pots
no summoning
no armor of any kind
no special attacks (if im just whip dming, no dds)
no range
no mage
no movement.

 

u think whip style dueling will work when theres dung items/pvp items :/ box better m8

 

There happens to be that nasty "boxing" gltcih that someone is selling in the verified guides. I suggest adapting to the current times and get the CR for non-spec fighitng.

get rapier instead of whip tho..more time but worth it..and im sure at your level that is what you will be facing.

 

That boxing glitch won't be a problem, those things always get patched pretty quickly. It was stated in that thread that the bug is clearly noticeable by the opponent during the stake, so I'd say that it is then useless.

As far as the topic goes, I used to box and will be boxing on my new account and can tell you that there is no best attack stlye to use. I used to switch to defensive when i was losing, and use accurate if I was winning, just cuz it felt right that way... Always worked pretty well, but in the end you just need some luck. Staking is like a 50% gamble pretty much, cuz only people with very similar stats will ever stake you for big amounts and repeatedly.
