Mage Boxer Stats / Requirements?

Hey, I'm just curious what the ideal MAGE Boxing stats would be.
Also, do I need to get prayer in order to do Desert Treasure?
Also, what casts should I use while mage boxing.

I'm making the assumption here that the account will only be Mage Boxing, so the ideal stats would be :

- Low Str
- Low Attack
- High Defence (70+)
- 99 mage < -- Basically a must as it gives you magic defence as well.

I don't think prayer is actually required for DT but rewards and such may get it up? I'm not totally sure, sorry.

MUST DO'S

Start with ice barrage. Depending on if u box with staff or not equip. If so, Miasmic barrage.

Trick is do as much damage with first hit as possible, then spam blood barrage for the constant heals.

And yes, dont box with anything under 99 mage

 

Ancients
92 magic (higher better)
1 defence
1 str
1 atk
1 def (higher better)
1 prayer

92 magic for blood barrage.
Mix your attacks with blood barrage/blitz.
Also, if you can, use smoke+shadow barrage once each until they hit.
One poisons, and the other blinds(Makes them hit less)

 

You cant get 1 prayer with ancients. Prequests get you 11.

 

getting ancients gets you 11 prayer. Priest in peril is a requirement.

Also can som1 explain to me why getting defence on it would help?

I mean if ur doing mage only duel, how does defence help? It dosent does it?

 

Do not use ice barrage for first hit... Or ever, unless you're doing obstacles haha

As for the boxing it depends on what level the account is as to what levels you'd need. You don't need prayer to complete the quest but you will automatically get 11 prayer from the sub quest. As for spells if it's no movement start with shadow barrage (It's the quickest spell to hit with and first hit is always an advantage) and continue on with blood barrage/blood blitz.

 

Werent the prequests + everything combined 13 not 11?.

Just mage stake with 60 magic + Mage arena spells.
Ice/Blood barraging and switching is a pain.

 

What combat you going for? You making a new account or what? I'm going to be 70 range, 70 mage, 60 hp, all dt quests for a while while I get higher stats. I'll be roughly 50 combat. 1 def and such. I don't know what stats your trying to go for though.

No matter what you'll be like 32 attack and 30 strength. Range isn't going to effect your combat, it's mainly just for quick hp levels. ;p
