The Return of Luring?

That's actually my favourite one, I think things like this will become far more popular now that the ditch is in place and petty crap like "free lobbies" one step away from the wilderness won't work anymore.

 

I for one, cannot fucking wait to lure 2k8, 2k9, 2k10 and 2k11 noobs ;P

 

I hope you guys know that the ditch has been around for a long time and plenty of people lured with it nearly just as much as without it. Its not like the ditch killed luring.

Given Runescape's "nanny state" ideology, and the fact that the old type of Wilderness will be a brand new thing for many players, I suspect that everyone will get a new warning message upon entering Wilderness after February 1st; despite previous Doomsayer preferences.

 

I also think this will happen this will make luring a LOT harder

Just curious, but what do you people say in order to get them into the wild with their money? I mean, you have to be absolutely RETARDED in order to fall for it. I have an account that'd work wonders luring, and would love to do it with some people if they'd like.

But yeah, what in general do you say to people to make them come?

 

Well the thing is if you do the old school lure (a talker and a killer) you can't actually prove that the talker wasnt going to actually go forward with the transaction, since the victim was killed before they could interact.

I've been banned for luring on rule 2 (item scamming) about 5 -6 times, each time I cleared them up, I had 0 black marks on my talker when I quit.

Honestly, if they allow money to show up on the ground (a large looking pile) basically any newer player would go running in without a second thought.

Haha, gravestones are still there for the initial time. So if they're lucky enough to get back in time then you won't get their stuff. However, I wonder if Jagex will finally start utilizing the 'Destroy' option >:]

 

Every kid and his mom has an account with 82 mage and ancients that can be a "killer". The amount of "killers" on these forums is astounding.

A lure only needs 2 killers tops. Freeze and tb. And that's if you manage to get a person into multi, most of my successful lures are non-multi combat.

Point is, a "killer" does not count, in any way, as a lurer. You stand in lv 2 wildy or with your mouse over the log in button, then you point-and-click the enemy to death. Talkers are the real lurers, and good talkers with good methods are very hard to find.
