As you can see the price of gold will be an important factor, only time will tell.

 

When free trade is back then the item will be valued at straight GP and it can be sold at that price. As of now, it's not worth it when you could just buy a red for $235 and get the same amount of GP value after free-trade.

 

I think I'll just keep it and sell it in-game. Depending on the price of GP's after the removal of the limit I'll either sell or keep the money for investing and such, then sell it when the GP price becomes advantageous in a few months.

Also,

You forget that you'll need to spend 542m to buy the Red but you would only need to spend 88m for a Wine.

 

The wine will be sold for the same amount as the red partyhat in a GP trade. (if that's its equal value). I don't think you're yet to understand what I'm trying to explain to you.

 

You're the one who doesn't get it. We are talking about a pure swap between Red and Wine; no GP involved whatsoever.
