I went into HP Health Check's internal settings. I disabled the scheduler, and unchecked it from running in startup. Then I went into MSCONFIG, and removed it from startup there. Then I went into services.msc, and disabled it there as well, and for that matter, all HP services except for the wireless services. Despite all of this, the sucker still pops up randomly. When it does, I go into the settings of the application itself, and what do you know? All of the options are active again, and all boxes have check marks in them.

Just uninstall it in the remove programs window. That's what I've always done.
