Other GFX markets/forums?

Do you guys know of any GFX markets/forums?
I used to be part of GameRenders, but after coming back from a year break, I found out it was dead.
Anyone know what happened to it?
And I'd like to find another GFX market forum, sorta like GameRenders.
Anyone know of an active one?

Also, if this is in the wrong section, please move it to the correct one.

 

Gamerenders died long ago, in the vicinity of 2 years+. I'm not too in with the most active ones, but planetrenders is still going albeit with less activity in the team scene.

 

How/Why did gamerenders die?

Most of the crews broke apart, with leaders like UA leaving/losing interest. I think a lot of crew people and the general GR public moved on to other sites, but I haven't been back there in a while so I'm not 100% certain.

 

Planetrenders is probably one of the largest ones atm.

 

Graphics based sites-- that don't have some extremely useful source to offer-- tend to come and go pretty sporadically. The graphics community can be highly egotistical, and you find a lot of people with a superiority complex about them. It's hard to build a sole graphics community because the existing members are always trying to assert superiority over the new members, who in turn are either and newfag prat with a giant ego or a shy, modest artist. Neither cope well with being a newcomer.

I think that might explain why gamerenders went down, and why it's hard to find a Graphics based market/forum that's worth joining.

Planetrenders is your best bet.

Haha I just might have to, but I've started to prefer spending time with 3D rather than photoshop graphics lately..

Make sure your URL is .net rather than .com.
