The only "mass ban" I suspect will ever happen is maybe as others have said, pick one skill like when they mass banned the puro puro bots by disabled the ability to snare the implings which they said was a "bug". Also, they may mass ban non members accounts but there not stupid enough to ban thousands of paying members accounts to make a point, thats like burning 10s of thousands of dollars for nothing, the bots will get better and always come back.

And in the video they said that the detection system was implemented weeks ago.
So that would mean that half of us should be banned or rollbacked right ?

wogsRus, why would ft coming back initiate a mass ban? I don't think it would be a very warm welcome for all of the people who they got to return with this update to mass ban anyone who botted, and if there little claim is true that bots are very detectable, then half the runescape accounts would dissappear, accompanied by half there profits, happy new years guys we banned you all!

On topic, I wouldn't be surprised if Jagex did have some sort of new detection system, whether it is as good as they say or not. The reason free trade and wildy were taken out in the first place is because gold farmers were buying membership with stolen credit card information, and Jagex were getting blamed. So, it would only make sense if they were to bring it back, that they would have something to avoid this.

 

Even if it is true, all we'll see is another banning of the stupid botters.

Same as with what happened with LRC and SW. The suiciders and free script users got banned, while those who care about their accounts and 'bot smart' didn't.

 

This. All of the people using scripts that fail after 30 mins will prob get banned if its true.
Also, it might just me be, but when they release free trade again, they will prob look hard at traders and try to ban people for rwting that trade 2bil in an hour.

Hmm, makes me think about it for a while but all the accounts I currently own aren't much of value so if I see ban, I create an account and bot again. This is how the real dawgs roll :Q
