Like someone said, it's a marketing technique. The longer they wait, the more anxious people get, and they're also making more money on membership the longer they wait. It also helps spread the word.

Because it looks unprofessional and idiotic to have it straight away.

Think about it.

One in 12 players don't like the update, they could quit, but if Jagex takes a few days, they might not, since it makes Jagex looking like they're working hard.

And they need last minute ideas, to make sure it's a success.

I know it's a pain waiting, but doesn't affect me atm. Only a few days.

Anyways they just want to add that stupid suspense. Like when it was 90% yes votes, they said "It is not predictable who will win". Like smd.

When i read this, all i can say is they are little fuckheads.

 

They are simply dragging this out as long as possible.

 

Okay everybody who says its going to be 3 days "har har har" they are going to come up with the decision Monday, and probably say oh its going to take a couple of weeks to implement this back into the game.

I come on to find
"While the percentage of votes speak for themselves, it's important that we seriously consider all of your feedback and comments. So we'll be sitting down this weekend to carefully consider the next steps and will make an official announcement on Monday 17th January."

Such shit. They already got the shit ready to go..

 

Actually, they haven't started on the update. A jagex moderator confirmed they would not start the update until the vote was over, because it was "Unfair". They knew that most of the community wants the free trade and wilderness back, but apparently they have to finish the vote and then start on the update. So, don't get your hopes up. The update might even take weeks, or maybe even months.

 

I agree but I could care less about the 1 in 12 people thing if anything the 1 in 12 people should go quit, cus all of the old players are going to flood in and it will be more like 1 in 17 people.

91% Yes, 7% No, 2% Dont care. From those statistics based on 1.2m votes the poll's come dead close to this. Note: I rounded to 1.2m im just curious as why they would give a shit about 84,000 people compared to over 1m yes. Less than 1 in 10 people say no and i have a feeling they will mess this up for the majority of the people......Just seems pretty shitty on their end.
