Make the RuneScape market more organized.

This could be adapted to help a lot of forums if not all of them, I'm just using the RuneScape Market as an example. There's no point in having sub-forums with sub-forums, especially since the first level is usually closed, and if not, creates pretty much two forums for the same thing. Make the sub-forums I outlined in red act as categories (there is an exact option in the forum manager in vB). It won't let people click on it then, rather they'll have to select Buying or Selling, rather than clicking on Gold Exchange, then Buying or Selling.

If we did so, it would take a whole day to scroll down the home page.

No. It would mean you have to click more. You can always bookmark your favourite sections.

 

Obviously none of you have a clue about vBulletin. It would be EXACTLY THE SAME as it is now, except the Gold Exchange, Item Exchange, etc, would only be titles, and would NOT be clickable.

The way it is now, you can click on the sub-forum Gold Exchange, and it will redirect you to a locked forum with a few random stickies, no one probably knew were even there, and then you have the choice to go to Buying or Selling. What I'm saying is to remove the random locked forum and just make Gold Exchange a category WITHIN the RuneScape Market sub-forum.

Yes, it literally would take about 10 seconds to do, all it takes is a click in the forum manager and you're done.

 

I hate even going into the market because its such a disgusting place. Anything to make it less crappy would be nice.

It makes it so there is less shit to click on and pages to be re-directed to...

I support, they are really needless and only ever being an administrator on one vb forum i still know that takes no time at all and is nearly effortless.

Just may aswell do it.

Took me a minute but I see what you mean now. My question is why would you even click "Gold Exchange" anyways? The sub forums are already right there to click on.

 

Its fine how it is, makes it a 1 click to get to the sub forum rather than having to click the category, then the sub forum.

 

Exactly, so what is the point of having it as a clickable link to a whole new board when you can make it smaller as a little category heading..

You won't have to click more than once, the subforums will still be on the front page, it just means the pointless link to a board that no one uses will be gone and it will be smaller and tidier.

 

That's what I'm saying, it's a waste of a sub-forum, and it doesn't have to be there. This update would simply make the market look a bit cleaner.

I really like this. It's more organized so moderators don't have to keep moving/locking threads. Plus, it looks nicer.
