Wait so wasn't the officer shooting at the tires?
The woman from what i'm hearing is a raging psychopath.
I dont see why the officer should be disgrace while trying to save lives. I mean he didn't shoot at the car, only at the tires.

The car was in motion, anything could have happened. He was shooting AT the tires, but you don't always hit the target you're shooting at. It was highly risky for him to shoot anywhere near the car if there's a child inside. Like the article said, the stop stick did the trick, there was no need to risk harming a child

But from what im seeing, the woman is driving like a madwoman and could hurt even more children. As far as im concerned letting the woman keep driving will risk more.

If the public and people really think its okay to risk 10 peoples lives to keep him from *remotely* having a very slim chance of accidentally hitting the child, i have no words to say but "idiots".

    Look at this
Tell me whats worst. What if the stop stick didnt work? You have to add it up.

Yeah but the thing is that... the stop sticks stopped the car. If the car is stopped, what was the reason to shoot and endanger the child? It would've been reasonable if she had a gun or weapon threatening someone but that wasn't what was happening.

Did he shoot before or after the stop stick stop'd the car? If its before then i think its warranted. If He shot AFTER then it might be a problem.

Considering the car is still in motion the stop stick DID NOT stop the car yet. So i think its warranted.

The thing is, they wouldn't use the StopStick if it didn't consistently work.. just like a sky diver wouldn't use a parachute if it didn't consistently work. Point being, it was still a high risk to open fire when they have other reliable means to stop a car safely
