Best 1 Defence Top

So, lately I've been getting tired of my Leather Body because it just looks terrible and is extremely common, not to mention the pathetic defence bonus gained. I did a comparison with some random stuff and I stumbled upon this:



So the question is, are there any better tops than Larupia? I think I'd sacrifice a +2 Ranged bonus for a bit more Defence. Would really like to know, thanks.

Mind body gives +15 mage def bonus

Carnillean armour for the looks, it's hawt
I use it ALL the time.

Stats are between Bronze + Iron platebodies, but no negative attack bonuses.

i like the good old monk robe top. its just the old school edge pker in me

Khazard armour is pretty goo from memory, im not sure how to find the stats on that though.

Hm, useful for monsters that use Magic, but I'm looking for one that's an all-rounder.

It's good, but the looks... aren't very appealing.

Monk robe is good, but I want something new.

As for Khazard, leather body beats it in everything except Slash Defence. Not worth it IMO.

but in all seriousness, most things will hit through 1 defence, so a couple of points here and there probably wont matter all that much in the grand scheme of things.

its probably better to findthing that is asthetically pleasing to you, and if it benefits your attack style, then thats a bonus

 

My take on this is that considering your 1 defence it doesn't matter. Also with larupia and the other armour, if your not wearing the whole set you look horrible.

Leather body just looks natural.

That's what I'm looking for, both stylish and decent stats. After using leather bodies for years, it's somehow lost its spark.

I could say the same thing for the +2 Ranged bonus. Does it really matter when you're using stuff like Chaotic Crossbow?

Meh, I just want something new.

 

Khazard body USED to look nice, I hate the skull thingy in it now :S

 

I think if your using a chaotic cbow or using a robin. You should maximize your potential range bonus or its a waste of money/dungeoneering.

Considering a robin is only +8 range
+2 range bonus is pretty dumb to throw away. Because then basically your robin is only worth +6 as your not maximizing your gear. If you get my drift. It's up to you.


Personally bro, I recommend Runecrafting robes. The top looks awesome with black dhide etc.
