Laptops good?

Are laptops good computers to bot on? I am looking to bot on it most of the time. I will be probably buying a computer made by Toshiba or HP. I am going to spend about $500-$600 on one.

 

i use to bot on my laptop though it was short-lived and i will most likely never bot again. However, during this time the botting was flawless,smooth, and seemed to work with very high efficiency.

also, i recommend HP. i have always had good experiences with HP desktops and laptops. also they have very good entertainment notebooks to offer.

 

short-lived as in? you got banned/reset or your laptop was just gone after being on for too long?

 

I reccomend you do not purchase an HP laptop, they're horrible.

If you just want to bot on the computer, I suggest you get a vps.

I botted on my Toshiba laptop. It was horrendous spec. Pretty much anything you can buy will work.

 

i have a core i5 with 2 gbs of memory. I can run about 3 bots without lag. If I bumped it up to 4 gbs of memory, I think i might be able to run at least 4

 

It's alright. I use Toshiba, It's perfect.

 

It doesn't matter if it's a laptop or a desktop it's the processor that really determines whether or not you can run a bot correctly or not.

But as Verts said the Java bots these days don't use much resources thus you can bot on pretty much any machine.

 

lol if your just going to spend money on a computer that just goin to do bot then I suggest you buy a mini notebook.. You can choose which brand but I suggest you don't go HP.. HP LOOKS AWESOME but the hardware is shit.

 

I would recommend to get any Laptop with atleast 2GB RAM.

 

A laptop would work fine, but if you're going to use it for serious botting you should really get a desktop just because you don't want to leave a laptop on 24/7.

 

I have a netbook and they work amazing for Runescape so im pretty sure that it would for a laptop as well.

 

Get something that is cool. If you've got one of those pads with fans on that go under its a bonus. I find with my Laptop if I leave it on for a long time it can get hot, and it's always best to keep it cool.

Following Clashfan, get a desktop instead if you want it primarily for botting.

 

My laptop gave up on my after a year of being on for so long. It got soo many problems, hence why I got a desktop.

To bot 24/7 on a laptop is not recommended by me to be honest. It ain't built to be on for that long, and it will overheat badly.

 

i just meant it was short lived because i quit rs and did not want to bot anymore. now im back on rs and i will never bot again (i do not think at least)

 

ive got an asus and i can run two bots, dl a few torrents and play counter strike without lagging.

 

Anything that can run Runescape on low settings can basically bot RS.

 

Build a desktop. You will save loads of money, your specs will actually be good, and you won't have to rely on a battery that will probably stop working after a month, especially if you plan on botting.

 

There very good to bot on, just not excessively. Hp has the best deals as far as computer spec's........ They recently took away their AMD customizable laptop which now your only left with Intel w/ one cpu choice.

 

A laptop shouldn't be your first choice to bot on if there is any alternative. It's probably not a good idea to have a laptop running constantly for days at a time haha.
