Problems Playing RS?

So after the last update I hadn't played so I get the updates and all and got an upgrade finally on one of my accounts. Now when I log in all I get is a partial screen, it doesn't show chat box or the panel with the stats and inventory and I can't move. When I bring open another tab the screen goes black and I can't do anything? I run dial-up but this has never happened before. Any tips?

 

Try deleting the cache from your c: disk
Called jagex something then re-downloading it, or just download their official client.

 

I am going to try to update my java to the latest version first, and if that doesn't help then I am going to do that. Thank you.

Yeah try deleting your cache or using a client.
Also.. if your using dial-up I doubt your computers anything special. Is there a chance your computers actually not able to run it?

Like if you have new programs running in the background it might be using up all your cpu/ram. I would try killing any unneeded programs in your task manager processes.

 

The only reason I use dial-up is because it isn't available where I live, I live in a a VERY rural community. My computer runs RS perfectly fine, it hasn't had problems until the last update and I always kill all unnecessary programs. I think it was a problem server side with RS so I am deleting the chache.

 

So have you tried deleting the cache and re-updating?

 

So I have reupdated and it work on my f2p account but not my p2p account. It just shows black and nothing happens. I may end up having to dl the client tomorrow night.
