Do you support GE & Price checker after free trade ?

Do you support the grand exchange staying, and the price checker still in the system, even after free trade leaves ?
I honestly don't, I miss 06 standing in fally, or using the forums to make profit.

Your thoughts ?

 

I don't think the price checker will stay, the players will now be able to change the market, instead of the old, having to wait for the GE to change. The price checker will be off target a lot. This is just my opinion.

But yes, I miss the W2 merchanting, and buying/selling on the forums, it gave you the feeling, that you were actually in control.

 

Yes, I miss the old days in fally. I'm going to be merchanting again like the old days, hopefully the location will be moved back to fally, away from the GE.

If it will not go happen, i just go alone w2 fally garden yelling "selling barrows etc" and when ppl see me they join and in few hours w2 fally is full of merchers and sellers again

 

nah you can still merchant you just need to be smart

I never used to merchant like that tbh, I probably got ripped off all of the time. I think that a price checker would help maintain economic stability, and help the nubs.

 

It won't be, GE is staying, so people will probably stay there.
It'll be hard to merchant as the GE will still have constant items in there, limiting the max price you can try to merchant off an item because it will be in the GE's for that price, and no one will give you higher unless they are unsure of the GE's

You can merchant now, it will never be dead, I'm just saying it won't be the way it used to, and it won't be as easy as it used to.

Most common way will probably be , buy off players / clear GE of any lower price, and sell in GE/Forums/W2, thats just my guess though

 

I do because i cba to use my autotalker to buy pk supplies...

 

I used to hate standing in varrock/fally typing for hours trying to buy something.

 

I loved standing around and using the forums to merchant. At one point I beleive I had one of the largest amounts of ranarr seeds in the game - Stood around buying them 10-15k in banks and re-selling on the forums at 20-25k each. Good times.

I support the prices staying in g.e because it gives someone a rough idea what to buy for, although more can be added.

I use to run a business having a lot of nooby players gathering me herbs and ores, and paying them 1/3rd the price for it. It worked wonderfully

 

I also miss 06 when players made the prices and there was no low, med, and high that the object could be sold for.

 

I don't see how a price checker would work unless it was based on the average sale price over 24 hours or whatever but it all sounds a bit complicated. I think they might just remove it.

 

Apparently they have a "complicated" algorithm to get the average price. =/
Probably just the average of all the sales on the ge lol

 

I personally prefer the good old spamming at falador and varrock to make trades. I don't really like the idea of having set prices, instead I like a completely player controlled economy.

 

I wonder if the mid price will still go up or down based on the price a item is being sold at.

i honestly think ge is super convenient and i hope the average price sticks around a long with ge. think of it this way, if you need to things for a quest, you are not going to stand around for hours trying to find a seller of an obscure item.
