Account Recovery Help

Ok so I was hacked by the original owner but I know most of the creation details, I sent many appeals and now the account is locked...what do I do?

Not much you can do really. When you sent the appeals, they were declined?

 

Yea all declined, but now it's locked and I sent another appeal recently with much better info. What should I do?

 

Just wait it out. He can't access the account until its unlocked either. How long ago did you purchase it?

Ahh okay. Well like I said, not much you can do. I've been in the same position, it sucks.

 

Does the account being locked mean I'm making progress?

 

Not necessarily. It just means that Jagex has noticed two different people attempting to recover it.

 

GL ina way i guess you made progress in the sense that he cannot play it either, so you may get the account back..im having the same exact problem..except the account isnt locked, yet

 

Locked account recovery failed >.<. gonna try a 2nd time...

 

If accounts get recovered by original owner justt forget about it...chances are your gonna end up wasting a lot of time...just chargeback the paypal and walk away.

 

But I know alot of the creation details and such.. Im also sending emails to [email protected] so wish me luck :\

 

ive recently purchased a couple accounts wats the best way to protect urself from things like this?

 

Did the original owner give you the correct details? Probably scammed you.

 

heyi have the same problem.
i bought an account and i changed rec. answers and i set my own email. now i got that acc locked and all i remember is answers who will be active in 01-14 email i have set and password which was given for me from this playr and password which is set now on locked account. player who owned it before didn't try to recover it, only i am tryeing to do that. can i recover it somehow?

 

There is NO way to make sure your account is safe.
If you bought it off another member, there will ALWAYS be a chance they can recover.

There is nothing you can do to prevent them from recovering.

All they need is to be on the ip that the account was created on (Or a similar ip, very similar) + the first pass word + the creation details + the FIRST p2p info.

The more you try to unlock it the harder it will be to unlock. Recovery works on a point system. On another note, if you're denied for creations, it usually means passes, or vise versa. But this is not always the case. Try researching the account itself to find more information on the original information and the earliest relevant information regarding that account. Try to make each lock appeal precise, and filled out to the best of your ability. If you have his IP, you have his ISP, zip code and location, so utilize that information and use it to your advantage. It is more likely that the dual unlock attempts between you and the original owners will drag the account into a sort of "ditch" where it'll simply become next to impossible to unlock.
