January 14th: botters nightmare?

Nice, I got 99 Strength last week. ^_^

 

I just started botting like last week... really hope I don't get banned. Been botting like 8-10 hours a day off and on :/

 

people saying this, i don't get your logic.

that's like getting arrested, serving your time, then next week they decide to just throw you in prison for the hell of it.
things generally don't work that way.

if you get a perma ban, you get one. if you got rolled back, logic would tell me that's your punishment.

 

Everyone is posting saying "Yes, there will be a mass ban" or "Lol no, there won't be a mass ban." No one knows for sure. In my opinion though, 10 or less hours a day botting with breaks etc should keep you safe if there is a mass ban (unless you're using a shitty ban) and you shouldn't stress it too much. Maybe take a break until the 14th if you're worried about it.

 

If I do approx 8 hours a day of botting today and tomorrow, I run no risk of getting banned correct? I'd just be using the free bot for picking up swamp tar.

 

You are at risk of getting banned anytime you bot. Your chances might be lowered if you use common sense, though. What i'm trying to say is there is no certainty when botting; the only way for 100% "no risk" is to not bot at all.

 

If this supposed mass ban occurs, it won't be people botting from the 7th to the 14th; I'm pretty sure Jagex plans on banning people they caught 1-2 months prior just to scare the public.

Running 8 hours a day vs. 24/7 makes no difference whatsoever. Jagex only needs a 5 minute snapshot of you botting.

 

Maybe the mass ban is for all the players that use free bots as they are easily detectable.

Exactly. But I'm going to wait until they actaully release the wild and FF. They may be holding it.

 

i kno nothing of bots and detection systems. but i know common sence, if ur worried stop botting for a few weeks... is that really so fking hard?...
