No PM = No Scam Compensation

100% support. What happens though if your sythe account gets hacked but your msn doesn't? Isn't that basically the same situation?

 

IMO if you do things well you wont get your msn hacked it is avoidable nate. ofc maybe im wrong.
This is my thinking
If it is password cracking it is totally avoidable and a consequence of a not secure enough password = NOT entirely your fault

In the case that you are hacked due to a RAT or a keylogger then either
Someone from sythe hacked it or someone else.
If the person is not from sythe they will most likely not scam with your email.
If the person is from sythe it is your fault for accepting a dangerous file or entering a dangerous site from someone on sythe.

I insist on the paypal e-mail since i got scammed once the guy is banned but not beacause he scammed me. Its nice to see he pmmed but who proof if its his paypal.

 

its called reverting msns. I won't go into more detail but its usually not your fault.

 

Agreed, this would also help people to learn to read emails, avoid scamms when msn its compromised, and avoid impersonating.

 

Can you tell me what's going to happen if I pretend to be hacked? All I have to do is tell a global+ to ban me since my msn is meant to be hacked, after scamming somebody.


Basically this is what the series of events:

Scam report comes out, no pm was requested, archive scam report, I claim I got my msn back, I successfully scam XXX amount of money. I get away with it.


This is exactly what Santaclaus did from Fagex 3 years ago.

Naturally it would be judged on a case to case basis. Pretty staff is fairly good at sifting through the bullshit. And again, thats why the rule needs to be implemented that requires a PM for the scammed person to be compensated.

 

And... I'll tell them I've been hacked. They'll ban me. What else can they do to know if I'm really hacked?


By what you said then is, scam somebody, staff go through rubbish and ban me, 2 days later unbanned and I'm happier on my $300 I scammed.

no I never do. If I get scammed I know its my fault.

 

This would lead to traders not giving a PM and claiming they are not liable simply because of this fact. Sure, any smart person will ask for a PM, but the new traders who don't will never know, and anybody can claim that they did not do it or that it was an imposter. I think this has some potential, but not in it's raw form as suggested.

The benefits do not outweigh the costs associated with this suggestion.

We don't want to have to sift though the reports. Not because of the work required, but because of the awkward situations we'd be put into. As a result of those whom we leave banned or unbanned, we'll be called biased/unfair/have drama form.

Feren, the exploit you refer to was being used by one person. As far as I can tell, there haven't been any successful scams by him on Sythe. I haven't seen any reports, so I'm going to avoid an announcement for now.

 

Those numbers are irrelevant without proof. What's your source?

 

Here's what I'm saying.
2 People know my new MSN. Having it not released publicly, usually forces users to ask for a PM.
And if my MSN did get hacked, I wouldn't pay back the victim if they didn't request a PM until Jesus comes back.
