Just got scammed through paypal need help[NOT GIFT]

Yeah so around 20 minutes ago i got scammed from buying an account. he recovered like 15 mins after i bought. I did not send payment as gift i sent as payment. just wondering when making a dispute which category i should choose to definitely get my money back:

computer harware/software
home/consumer electronics
jewellery
antiques/collectables
entertainment related goods
other physical goods
travel
service
virtual goods - delivered electronically
other non physical goods
tickets for events

Other help/ advice would be appreciated!

 

if it was not sent as gift its easier to chargeback i belive, you should be honest and choose the virtual goods, and explain in the discription what happened. they might decide on your favour well thats what they do for me

edit: also report the person who scammed you to prevent him from scamming other members

and next time you should use a trusted free middle man or free middle man. if they refuse then they'll probably be trying to scamm you

You are lucky he recovered now. What if he did it 1 year later? You money and hard earned levels would be goner.

Try to put it as goods as he cannot counter that easy. Say he promised to provide you with insurance and tracking which he didn't for a promised good shipping (use one) Virtual items can be easily defended on his part.

 

you should have done recovery checks, if you have enough recovery info.. you can keep recoverying it back ...
