How to get a tatoo without parents?

Hey guys, my gf has wanted to get a tatoo for awhile now but shes only 16. Her parents wont take her to get it so she needs to find a way to go get one without an adult.

How can she do this?

BTW - tatoo is going to small and wont be seen so no worry on trouble haha XD

 

My advice is just to wait until she's 18.

 

Cant she wait 2 years?. Im not sure other people's parents will want to impersonate to be her parents especially not for a tattoo.

She honestly needs to wait until she is 18, or have her parents permission. If she still wants the same tattoo by then, it's probably not just a dumb impulsive tattoo. But I can almost guarantee she will not have the same taste when she is 18.

 

Go around from place to place until you find someone willing to do it(A respectable artist would never do it).

There's an issue of professionalism and skill. Anyone who's using properly sterilized equipment and knows what they're doing is going to refuse to tattoo a minor, so any one who IS willing to do it will likely be putting your girlfriend at risk.

Honestly, she should wait until she's 18. A tattoo is a big decision, and even friends of mine that are 20 years old are getting tattoos that they're going to regret 10 years from now. She should wait it out. If she wants it now, she'll still want it in two years.

 

I got my first tattoo when I was 16, I didn't need any ID or anything it was pretty sketchy but he did a good job..

I've had 3 tattoos from my friends but some of they aspire to be professionals one day and did good jobs on them, she'll just have to wait to get it done by a professional instead of a dodgy person and regret it when it comes out shitty.

 

It depends how the artist is wanting to do it, one of my friends just got their uncle to come with them and he said he was his father and that checked out fine, so you could just get an older adult to come and pose as her parent/guardian.

Tell them she is emancipated.

 

Find someone who is old enough to pass off as your parent. Not that difficult.

 

i strongly recommend waiting til at least 18 to get a tattoo. it is something that should be thought out long and hard. but OT: i recommend getting a fake ID, getting an older friend to bring you, find a tattoo parlor that doesnt care about age.

Or preferably just go to the a tattoo place and ask for their waiver, because the one up there is for a certain shop.

If that doesn't work. You can probably find someone on craigslist who won't care, but then the quality may be questionable.

I don't like tattoos at all, but I'm not going to tell you how to run your life.

 

From personal experience I'd tell her not to do it, I got one when I was 15 and I really regret it now. But if she's going to do it anyway get anyone who's of age to say they're your guardian the tattoo parlor won't check or care.

TRUST ME WITH THIS ONE, my friend is 18 now and he got one at 14, and its doesnt look proper
