When free trade comes back, what will it do to the black market?

I'm thinking of buying some gold to get back into runescape, but i'm not too sure if the price of gold will drop when the free trade comes back.

Anybody have any thoughts or ideas on what will happen?

 

It'll be volatile for a while, but I think that when it stabilizes it will be cheaper than it is now.

Once we have free trade sellers don't need to know an xfer method to be able to sell gold anymore, and so there will be more sellers. That will drive the prices down.

 

As I thought, simple supply and demand, right?

Will be a little chaotic and unpredictable in the early days after free trade, but once that's over the supply should be greater than the demand.
I think there are enough old accounts with millions/billions of gp to sustain the market for a while.

 

Yea, I agree, every noob who has ever made a mil will want a piece of the IRL dollar action. I think that after awhile the price will go up though. With no icons and other generated drops flowing money into the game, I believe it will stabalize and hopefully be more than $1/mil.

 

More supply than demand at first, then more demand, then stabilising around 1$/m I'd say.

 

I can't wait! I'll be able to get my pins for 1M rsgp again.
