I'm just about to turn 17 in february and I'm enlisting in the Canadian Forces (yeah the regulars, not the reserves).

Yes I still participate in MMA. I am actually going to LA for spring break for a military/law enforcement only 5 day combatives certification course.

You can get phones unlocked & insert Sim cards from other providers if possible & use their plans. Much as T-Mobile Users can use iPhones if they're unlocked since T-Mobile & AT&T use the same type of SimCards. You'd have to google the simcards, and phone too see if they would be compatible.

And yeah, most of the people I talk to say it's a stupid decision and I'm going to die and they pretty much scorn me for it. I'm actually serving 20 years minimum for the pension and shit ;P. It's something I've wanted to do for so long haha.

Nope, we just have to adhere to army grooming standards. However once you get accustomed to it, letting your hair grow out just feels uncomfortable.

Ya the 20 years retirement package is fairly appealing. I am a military brat, moved like 14 times before I graduated high school. Its just in my blood already.
