It is true that I do not know Gohan very well. I remember moments on tc with him, how he used to post just to accumulate posts, and how he was deeply depressed, and I agree he has definitely matured. However, technically, everything we post here is "acting". We are defining images of ourselves based on how we want ourselves to be projected. Whether these images are contrived from the our hearts our a book on how to act nicely on forums (if said book exists), we are still creating and acting out portrayals of ourselves on these forums.

That being said, I believe that some balance is in order. I think the role of the personal support moderator must definitely be a kind and helping person, as Gohan has shown to be, yet this does not necessarily mean they must try to say everything comforting at every single moment, as this can actually be a little unnerving to some rather than personally supporting them.

An example: On recent introductory threads, Gohan has posted "Hey cutie =]". I believe he means this whole heartedly, yet being called attractive by someone who only knows http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=960347&highlight=gohan about you can be a little unnerving.

That being said, I do not doubt Gohan's sincerity of his emotions. I simply feel that sometimes his kindness can go a little overboard. This isn't meant to be a large personality criticism, it's just what i've observed over a few posts and it isn't really a big deal. I appreciate Gohan's kindness and dedication to both the site and the members' well-being.

 

Gohan is doing an amazing job. All his kind words seem to come from deep in his beautiful heart. I doubt he is presenting us another personality than his own.

FireZ - Good job on the dispute section. It was annoying when I had to wait for ages when I was banned so I understand what it feels like...

 

Finn - Glad to see you being active in the RAS section, and also your whole attitude on sythe is improving a lot. Keep up the great work!

FireZ - at first I felt he abused his powers because of the numerous threads saying so, but now I see that people only hate him because he does his job so well. Keep up the good work

Brendan -Good job with the pardon forum. Enforcing the 6 month rule.
plznate - Shouldn't really jump to conclusion so fast. Before banning them contact them on msn and explain the situation with the ips, tell the accounts that are banned, wait a day for the them gather proof that they're not that person, then decide what should happen from then. I had the same situation with an ip on my account and Tyro did the steps above and caused little to no drama at all.
FireZ - Same as above. Remember it's innocent till proven guilty.
Finn -Very well done with the handling of Dingo's case.

 

I collected proof for 2 days and presented in the SL, where it sat under review by a few people before any action was taken. Additionally, I had no say in banning him, just presented the irregular findings that I found ; )

 

Very well, you did a good job then. Whoever banned him I still suggest to talk to them first.

FireZ- Take it for what it is worth. PLEASE stop assuming in your ban disputes. Plain and simple.

 

FireZ- very patient and understanding when it comes to kids who do not follow rules. keep it up.
