How long should i wait?

Somebody bought my ps3 today on Ebay for the buy it now price and i have still not received any payments how long should i wait?>_<

 

I think from memory you're meant to give them three days (or possibly five).

He's probably transferring the money from his bank account into paypal, usually takes about three days.

 

Didn't you include something in the ad like "Payment must be sent within 5 days of auction"?

 

Try to contact him if possible and wait no more then 7 days imo

 

File an Unpaid Item Strike on the buyer should it pass 3 days. I have 0 patients for non-paying asshole buyers. And next time when you list BIN add instant paypal payment that will force the buyer to pay before buying.

 

3 days he could be gettin money from bank.

 

Tried contacting the buyer and no reply, he must send the payment within 48-72 hours. User just joined Jan 2, and has no feedback what so ever just seems fishy. Im just camping my paypal waiting for it to say +400.00USD

Edit: cant make a dispute till the 5th for no payment so the buyer has 3 days. Hoping he/she is just waiting till tomorrow so the package can be shipped.

 

If not file the dispute ASAP. That way eBay won't rape you for fees and you get to list the item again with the restriction removed. Next time when you list with BIN require INSTANT payment. This will keep these faggot buyers at bay.

 

Well my parents told me to wait till tomorrow and if i dont receive any payments ill probably re-list the item. Also i did not know there was an "instant payment"....Just will wait till tomorrow and inform you guys.

and yeah OP you shouldn't give them more than a couple days, unless they message you and tell you otherwise. I would say try to get hold of the buyer and ask if there are any problems with the payment.

 

3 days, I know this because my dad is a retalier on eBay.

You can wait up to 5 if you want, also contact them right now asking when they want to pay, sometimes it could take a few days for them to transfer bank to Paypal or something.

 

Messaged the buyer twice, and so far no payment or messages have been returned.

Same as above.

 

Then go to 4 days of a waiting period and message them again, if no response by the 5th then re-list the item and file an unpaid item strike.

 

Also another tip... Block out international buyers in the shipping option. Sometime Chinese sellers create fake accounts to buy BINs and don't pay for them. Another way they cut the competition. But if you do instant payment with paypal in BIN it would take care of that problem.

Never thought of that, it makes sense since it was such a good deal. Anyway i did click the button to stop international shipping/buying but this buyer was listed in Massachusetts. Ill see what happens when i wake up, and if nothing ill discuss with my parents what to do since im using there Paypal & E-Bay. Im just to lazy to create my own. hehe.

 

Always make the auction instant payment or else. hats the best way.

I contacted ebay support today after the buyer told me that they could not send the payment due to "inavlid email" or some other bs. They are trying to get me to "Request Money" outside of Ebay threw Paypal. Anyway Ebay support told me to tell the buyer to contact them. Upon creating my listing the fee's came to like a little over $5 now its telling me i owe $41 which is more then 10% of what the item was bought for.

 

If you list an item and you leave it alone then you won't rack up more fees. If you edit or keep changing something then you pay more in fees. DO NOT TRADE OUTSIDE OF EBAY. If you do you will not be protected with Seller Protection and it's a policy violation. Also if you file an Unpaid Item Dispute, eBay will reverse the fees.

 

Ya it normally takes about 3-5 days to transfer money to paypal so id suggest no longer then 5 days too wait
