Have you bought an account here before?

For those of you that have bought accounts here on Sythe, how many of you actually still have the account? It seems that it is impossible to prevent an account from being recovered by the seller if ever the seller chooses to do so.

How many of you have had an account which you bought here get recovered?

For those of you that still have possession over the account, besides the fact that there are those good few that would never scam someone, what have you done to prevent your purchased account from being recovered?

 

2 accounts

1 pure which i still got and is now a maxed zerker pure (it wasnt like that when i bought it)

and a main that got recovered....

 

When you bought the main, did you or the MM perform a recovery test?

 

I think actually in the 6 years I have bought only 1 on sythe that I can remember.
The guy went first to me and even supplied all the recovery information before I paid, so I was pretty sure I was safe.

I mean he could recover it when he want, but then again so could I. So it would be useless for him to do so.​

 

When free trade comes along, anyone could just recover an account they sold and xfer all the items. Something to think about~

 

The one i account i ever brought from here wasn't recovered for months (had my recov's, passwords that were changed on a weekly basis) and he still managed to get the pure back. Therefore i would never buy from here again unless the person is very well respected on sythe e.g. (Hamjamk/r2/ mods etc). Although don't make me put you off there are some good sellers out there just be careful mate. Also thanks for the 2m again

I'd only sell accounts, buy services and membership as such.
If an account I brought got recovered a few months later a scam report would be a pain to fill.

 

and even if you do file a scam report. you still get gf'd either way.

 

I bought an account like 1.5years ago from someone "not trusted" and I still have that account. I barely used it tho.

 

doesnt that make the account business a very...risky one? i was actually going to swap my account for a pure but i'm having second thoughts after reading this o.o

 

I bought 2, still have them both.

I don't buy accounts that have been member, more risk.

 

It is very risky. I've heard of people buying accounts then within 3 years they managed to get a phat and much wealth. Then the account gets recovered. Pretty sad.

 

Yeah, you just need to make sure that you get all the information like postcode/internet provider/creation date and then put the move house date as your house. (so when you bought the account).

 

I bought a pure from a person thats banned now... the guy that sold it to me stole it from some guy. And the guy added me and ask who I was and we talked for a while. He said he wouldn't recover it back because I paid for it... hope that goes through lol

 

i bought a acct from gold4rs and it got recovered and then i bought one here and it got recovered also. i havent done a scam report as it doesnt make since to do so. they just get banned and use a new proxy to scam so its pointless really. and the guy i bought from had vouches. but i lost 180.00. so i wont be spending any more money here again.

 

I've bought one real account, 7 noob accounts.

It had bunny ears and scythe and was being sold for $10 so I was pretty sure it was going to be recovered. I was right.

All noobs are still mine.

It honestly depends. I have bought accounts on here, and have been recovered (1), yet have had no problem with some. It depends on the user, obviously the more vouches a person have, the less likely you are to have the account you just bought recovered.

 

I have bought many accounts that have been recovered on here.
I even bought one, earned 150mil on it, sold it to a guy for cash+ another account...
And then the original owner recovered (he knew that I had just sold it).
So ofcourse I refunded the guy, his account + cash and I was out an account worth around $150.
I also bought a g mauler early in my sythe... experience? It was recovered after I earned 20mil on it.
I traded a 99 woodcutter/firemaker skiller, for an account with MM done and Mith gloves. 89 strength or around that. The guy recovered before I even put membership on it. And the skiller I had bought so I was unable to recover it.
Another early sythe experience, I bought a miner account with 85 mining and a c VLS. It was a great pker, even got a good 15 or so pking clips with it.
Recovered not too long after.
Also had a 20/90 C vls pure that was recovered a couple months after buying.
Bought a 129 from a member who was banned on sythe. They seemed pretty legit though, because they sold me the pure I sold them for $65, for $40 months later. I pretty much made $20 and they trained stats. So I deemed them trustable. They recovered the account, I asked for details back. They gave them. Then it was recovered again. I lost hope at that point.
Cba to remember any more of the accounts that were recovered from me lol :S
But I have had a few good experiences:
I bought an account with hunter ranked in top 1200, and fairly high stats as a pure. I made into a infinity hybrid that now has 95mil and ranked in top 1k for hunting. Had it for months, no recovery (yet,atleast).
I have also bought original names/multispace/3 letters, that weren't recovered. That is not saying too much though lol :/

 

I don't really care, I sell level 3 miners usually so no point in recovering..

Sythe Trust > $10 or so.
