College, Self-Employment, and Ways to Make Money?

Well, I am graduating this year my friends. My parents are very worried if they are going to be able to send me through college because of the steep price of college tuition. (I already plan on getting financial aid) They told me I really need to get a part time job and start putting money away so I can pay for the things I really need while I am in college. I don't want to get a job and I would rather make money on the internet, I already have a GFX shop here on sythe but it doesn't really generate that much money and I need to be topping at least 200-300 USD per month. I would like to know some methods I could use to make money, preferably non-RS related. This all has to be able to be done while I am finishing High school and in-between classes in college.

 

Adding all 3 up will be hard. You'll need to be able to squeeze in an part-timejob OR look around your college for jobs that will give you credits. Basically something that pays you to participate AND gives you your college credits. I did this for a photography class once and got paid 500$ a month. It all depends what your schools offers, i live in NYC.

Making money on the internet wont be easy and trust me, its best if you find a job irl. It'll give you experience in the outside world instead of sitting on the computer for hours.

 

You should seriously just consider getting a part time job man...I'm a senior about to graduate so i'm in the same boat you are. Not all jobs are hard/bad, and some can be very beneficial. <---- prolly spelt that wrong...For example I plan on working at Hastings/Game stop/Lids/or Footlocker...All of these places offer discounts to their workers, and all have stuff i like to buy.

edit: If youre wondering how I would know because i'm not there yet, I currently get out of school half a day then go to work , and its awesome lol.

I am thinking about doing some free-lance writing, trying to sell to magazines. I am a published poet and I do short stories but I was hoping for some more things like that during college, that I can do between classes.

 

Make an eBay account, find junk you dont need in the house and sell it. Since your going to college you wont need much of your junk, you'll be suprised how much money you make selling some stuff.

 

I have a lot of magic cards that I could sell. haha

 

Honestly, get a part time job. There is no sure fire, legal way, to make a decent amount of cash online unless you create something spectacular (which is what college is for.) I came into college with 10 grand, all money I made with my part time job in high school, and I have loved having the extra spending money for whatever. Srsly, don't be lazy, and get a job.

 

Making money online is not easy. To make it fund for something is even harder.

Just get a part time job. It is more worthwhile than wasting your time online.

If it was soo easy to make money online. I am sure many would do it instantly.

 

Work at Footlocker, buy certain shoes, sell on internet=300-400% profit.

You could go to West Point and have gotten like 400 USD per month for just attending!

 

To go to West Point you also need superb grades and commit for 2 years.
