Old stakers comming back?

They are quite a bunch of youtube videos featuring stakers with 25b+ banks owning and getting phats and other rares.

I know that most of them quitted after the limit update so I was wondering if you guys think they will come back and reintroduce rares and cash untouched for years.

Maybe they dropped them, maybe they aren't comming back but if I'm right about this it could have consequences.

 

I'm sure that at least a small percentage of those old stakers will come back. Isn't the return of old wild and free trade the only reason 80% of us are even considering returning to runescape.

 

tons are banned, jim morrison is though and he was the best staker ever

I bet most half of these people come back (maybe on diff accounts), like half of them still post on rsc

 

Im back but i gave my 2b worth off phats to friends when i quit, phats were much cheaper then.

 

Aren't half of those people banned?

and yes I do think people will be coming back Most likely different account because they either maxed out their old one or it got banned, something a long those lines.

 

also, alot of these stakers probably turned into mains or maxxed accounts after the update. I mean I know some people are hardcore and would just put it on hold anxiously awaiting the return of staking and FT but 3 years is a long time to wait, I know if I had an extremely rich account with already good stats and alot of fame, I would either sell it at a place like sythe or just go for lvl 138 (126 at the time I guess, LOL) and screw it. Not saying all did this or that they won't just rebuild there once glorious account, but alot prolly aren't even good staker stats anymore

 

I remember when H A 12 D staked. We met in camelot and became friends. He's long gone though.

 

I figure a few will come back. I know tons of people starting back up in hope.

 

Hopefully they DO come back. Bring back them x-mas crackers

 

Some will definitely come back, but I doubt there will be enough to significantly affect the rares market.

 

You guys really think stakers, that quit almost 3 years ago, will come back? They may have forgotten about the game by now.

 

but username757!?!?! Jagex masterfully advertised on youtube, facebook, and even *******!! You don't think the mere thought of old wilde/free trade returning to runescape will make these veteran pro stakers throw down that school book, break up with that nagging girlfriend, look up there old passes and start owning again??

Yea, I agree with you bro, although this update is great news and alot of people are going to come back to RS, it seems most of these people were still involved through sites like sythe and forums, ect.....(i.e. they never really left the atmosphere of RS). I think Jagex overestimates how many players will come back that quite at the start of RS's dark ages (2007 update, LOL). But it there plan has worked slightly, for everyone that quit way back when, there will probably be a new staker account to replace them. I know both me and my bro have maxxed AGS twins and we have already began work on 2 stakers that we will mess around on so whether or not it was as massive as an effect as Jagex thought, as far as my knowledge goes they got 2 more memberships than they would have had, LOL.

 

I hope alot of them come back; I'm looking forward to some hardcore staking.
