All that is known of the history of the God Wars Dungeon’s is that, at one point towards the end of the Third Age, a flight of aviantese took refuge there from Zamorak’s demon horde, to protect the newly forged god sword. Reinforcements arrived in the form of General Graardor and Commander Zilyana, and the battle raged.

Little did they know that another secret laid buried beneath the blood and snow – a prison of ice for the last army of Zaros, and its leader, the fearsome and majestic Nex. These Zarosians were originally imprisoned at the beginning of the Third Age, by Sardominist forces on a crusade to wipe Zaros and his followers from the history books.

During the ensuing chaos, Nex somehow managed to escape, and it took the combined might of all four of the other god wars armies to trap it once more. With the dungeon’s reopening in recent years, the strongest of RuneScape’s warriors head in to test themselves in combat and with the hope of attaining prestige, and rewards in the form of the blade and hilt of the legendary god sword. All this disturbance stirs Nex in its prison below...it seeks to escape once more and wreak havoc on its captors...and this time it’s your responsibility to contain it...

Defeating RuneScape’s most powerful and intelligent boss to date won’t be easy, with its arsenal of over 15 unique combat moves, each designed to test even the most powerful of players. You’re going to need help from your clan or some friends to take it down, but huge riches await those who succeed:

What do you think the godsword will cost and the new bow?

The godsword at first will probably be low as all new items released in-game are.. I have a feeling merchers are going to horde them and make the price rise and then make a bunch of people mad AND lose tons of money..

well the c'bow will make people want 99 range more thus making chins rise

good thing i just bought my 99 range =]

 

but still, I don't care If I have to trade my soul for that bow and new gs, will make my maxxed out gs pure unstoppable. lawl!~@!~!

We don't even know if the sword will be good in pvp. (ex. sgs)

The range verision of d claws... That item is going to easily be like 100m+

 

I bet by the time these items are released free trade will be out. Thus, the price will be pretty damn high.

 

We don't even know if the boss will drop a godsword at all... The new bow might be a blow to those who have bought a chaotic crossbow

 

The first thing when I read this was, mage still doesn't seem to be getting anything

 

I agree Runescape don't care about Mages, They think once you get 94 and you can Barrage you're going too be happy.

 

ugh. so sick of them adding all this over powered shit into rs.

 

The bow will probably be hitting 40's because it only says "Dragon tipped" not enchanted :S Oh well, it will still be very pro for lvling etc. I hope the godsword isn't better then the ags for PvP

 

After reading through the update a few more times, I have a prediction as to the spec of the new GS. It seems Jagex is finally implementing constitution raising effects with the new 80 defense req armor that will also be released in January. I would assume that if they allow constitution to be raised with an effect, its only fair to have it reduced as well. My best guess at the new gs's special attack is that it will possibly reduce the opponents constitution just like when other stats get lowered. They will now only be able to heal up to a lower hp even with food which will be very interesting, LOL.

 

Fuck jagex.

 

Except the fact that mages can hit over 500 in pvp, and down people with no effort, only fail mages who sit there welfaring in mystic think mages are not considered. Mages don't need anything else, I can already easily down anyone, whether they be in max melee or max range gear

 

Finally an update that makes range a bit more powerful. Melee is soo overpowered.

This bow will cost a lot. I hope the boss ain't easy. Must take at least five players to beat it I hope.
