Chances of getting banned?

What are the chances of getting banned nowadays for RWTing? Is there a greater risk from websites, players, or is there no difference? I'm asking because I'm considering buying some GP but my old account got banned in '06 for this. Is it less risky to gold farm, buy "rapid coins", or to buy items?

 

The way they used to catch RWT was finding the accounts that traded gold to several people on the game.... So if you trade the account and they find out, one things leads to another.

 

Its very rare for Rwting that you get caught.

 

Doing anything against their TOS can lead to a ban. There is no ban safe cheating.

Apparently no one has been banned for buying rares mid price. R2Pleasant was banned for selling gold I heard. Other than that, no one has been banned for RWTing during the era of the GE.

I would buy gold off of a trusted Sythe person known for selling it, rather than some random person.

 

There is a much larger chance of a ban if you goldfarm rather than simply transfer gold.

I rwt discontinued items, and one person asked me if they could send me paypal for something. As soon as I saw paypal I added them to ignore - he was in my cc.

I'm curious if Jagex picks up words like Paypal and then checks for RWT of each person. Should I be worried even though he said it to me? I immediately added them to ignore.
