Staking DDS/WHIP Still happen today?

With them bringing it back, I'd love to go back to my routes where i could get a nice first spec then just bring out the whip and dish out a Ko, But with today i'm curious on wether alotta players will use Chaotic Rapier instead? And if this happens i'm fucked:/ 80 Dungeoneering i really can't be arsed to get, I hate the skill as it is.

 

It's a bloody glorified minigame is what it is mate. I hate that skill and what it did to RS, hate pking on main now :l

 

Lately, I've been practicing funning with friends. Chaotic didn't give any noticeable advantage since dds does most of the job. If you're still uncertain I suggest you only duel players under 80 dungeoneering. Don't worry your not the only one who hates dungeoneering lol.

 

I think they should put in an option to turn off dung weapons.

 

Many people have been assuming there will be a no-untradeables / no-degradables option anyway, and so you'd be able to stick to whip and dds.

Yea, although I don't things such as degradables, dung gear, ect..... should be banned from wilde/staking (some people are actually suggesting this because they are *too powerful*), but a toggle would be a must, otherwise that is all you will see and you will be required to hi-scores everyone before fite to make sure they aren't decieving you while packing some chaotic punishment. LOL

 

I will smartly use try boxing or no specs tbh. DAT VLS is scary.

 

lol, yea Im interested to see what account rules the staking grounds at each level range now that a bunch of new items/prayers/potions/gear has been introduced to the game. TBH people might actually start having more fights that include food, otherwise I fear alot of kills will be luck. I mean no matter what your defense and gear is, a firecaped torso bandos tassets extreme strength/overloaded turmoiled clawer is going to be hard to stop from just raping everyone before they have a chance to think.

I also predict most fight will have magic disabled, mainly because the new miasmic spells, the staff of light with increased magic damage, or even worse the dung mage staff with stream neck. The addition of all of these items will take farcasting to a whole new level so watch those settings!

 

The whole point of staking is luck. Staking came out as an way to try and negate anyone's advantages so its pretty much ends up as an gamble.

During staking, no1 wears armor. Your strip'd buttnaked except for 1 weapons. back then there was no VLS or Korasi. So speccing may be off.

Its either 1 weapons or boxing or mage boxing with all other slots except the weapon slot off. No foot/pots/prayer

 

They are probably going to do something about chaotic/pvp weapons. We'll see in time.

 

I see where your coming from "hey guys", staking can be played this way, but I know for a fact that alot of players actually used gear, magic, armor, and in some cases even food. In truth nobody wants to leave there precious partyhat up to chance, at least nobody with any sense.

I am personally happy staking is coming back in such adverse times as rs is now. With all of the new weapons and gear there should be a wide variety of types of fights that are common requests/challenges in the arena. I just hope Jagex puts enough thought into staking to involve enough toggles for the staking rules. With so many new weapons introduced, if this is handled with care and alot of thought, certain account builds will have immense advantages and thats not fun at all.

 

I'd be very surprised if there wasn't an option in new staking to turn off chaotic weapons. The real question will be if people choose to use korasi or other spec weapons over the dds...
