Trade Limit is being lifted - Discuss GP Prices

Of course the gold prices are going to drop if they abolish the trade limits.
As you can see the prices are pretty high at the moment due to the time it requires to farm and actually transfer the gold.
If the sellers could just trade the gold it would take 5-20mins and no limit on the gold amount compared to the current hours.

Less time, Less worries and complication will be required in the trades meaning gold prices will drop significantly. im assuming it would drop to atleast 50c or so a mil. and most likely there is going to be hordes of people buying gold since it would be much safer and yeah the sellers wont need to long on your accounts.

im gonna save my money atm and buy gold if they reintroduce the free trade, XDDD and most likely all the items are gonna be much cheaper after free trade so yeah better to stock up on gold

The demand for rsgp will be great again. People still pay $3-5 per mil if you can xfer them around 100m in a matter of minutes

 

All I know is that it's not going to drop it's going to rise.

Chances are it's going to go back to normal.

 

cmon guys this is simple supply and demand. When the limit is lifted, the over supply of gold that is held on thousands of accounts with no xfer method will be met with an over supply of buyers who can now easily and safely acquire gold. In essence, the price will remain roughly the same and may even experience a slight decline, but will average out. However, in the long run, the price of gold will continue to drop because of competition until a certain break point is reached.

 

Gold went down because nobody was buying, people didn't want people on thier accounts for more then a hour. Now free trade is back, I have no idea. Markets are always fluctuating in RS. Will have to wait. Expect free trade/wildy back in Mid-February, they still have the code but they need to recode it etc.

 

price will go down. huge influx of supply in relation to demand. go to any botting websites (rsbots), there are hundreds of people with hundreds of mills waiting for a time like this.

but sticking to the point, yeh; currently supply>demand thus depreciation of rsgp thus lower prices. ONLY for short term, because depending on what happens later (eg, increase in demand etc etc) blah blah yeh... hopefully it drops to less than a dollar/M

 

Nevertheless trades will be heavily monitored so we'll see the outcome

Anyway, I think gold will definetly fall. Back in the day when free trade was still possible, having 50m was like a shitload of cash. Now a lot of people have 50m+. Also, look at all the botters. When/if free trade comes back, many will use (for example) Auto HunterPro to get a quick 30m up for sale. If gold was even just $1/m, you could pick up $30+ in no time. And hunter is a pretty bad example, seeing as much better moneymaking bots exist out there.

Yes it is true, when free trade comes all of the gold of accounts in need of a tranfer method wil be put freely on the market, sure. But lets face it, its Jagex we're talking about here. They would never have wildy or free trade back without a back-up plan. By back-up plan I'm talking about the fact that they will have much better and improved systems to trace these sort of things than they did in 2007, I think that even on the first day of free trade people will feel the banhammer...
Lets just think about it for a second.. let's say.. 2 people trade an amount of 200m without the other party giving anything in return, and they aren't even on each other friends list. I've heard a lot of people saying that they would just give money to friends, but for an amount like 200m it would either have to be your mom you love so much and that is struggling in the game, or your boy/girlfriend that will promise you something you'll never forget...
Yes I crossed the line with the examples but I'm just saying,, forget the fact that xferring wil now be very easy because of 'free' trade.

In my opinion this is how it's gonna be, wether we like it or not. JaGex just did this to get people fired up again to come back and give them a larger income, they are fully aware of the fact that we'll try to RWT,, they have had 3 years of preparation for this, and now it looks like they are ready...

Just to end this, I think that price will either stabilize or will rise, and we'll keep using xferring methods(wether we like it or not), just to stay under the radar...

You don't need to face to face trading, you can used duel area and let's say player a and player b wants to fight together and player a deal with payer b for 200m if player b wins, he got 200m but it lost got nothing.

And another thing jagex might put RWT detection in their games.

 

Competition to sell gold without the hassle of some x-ferring bullshit will cause the prices to drop temporarily but then they will rise over time and be $2 a mill is my guess.

In my opinion, I think it'll drop to just about $1/mill, Since many mules can have simply sell without the hastle of xferring gp.

 

Don't forget staking guys, Cursed You made a butt load of irl money from the profit he gained from staking, and the huge profits mean a lot of gp can be gained, meaning lower prices.

 

Im an old player of runescape so i came on here thinking to make a little money i have around 300mill rsgp and would be happy to get anything from $150+

So i could sell gold $0.50p/mill

 

*Face palm* Jagex can't go to this site because it will break Sythe's agreements....

I personally think its going to fall then rise. Right now PVP is just generating shit tons of money into runescape; therefor, gp is less valuable which is why things cost a hell of a lot more than they used too.

Gold may not be as expensive as it was but i'm pretty sure it will go up.
