    I dont seem to understand how they connect to the VPS and open up runescape/the bot.

    You have to download UltraVNC Viewer to see the bot. I had someone install the bot client onto my VPS for me. There are also plenty of guides at RSBots.net that explain how to download the bot client and how to open it up.
