I found MMG once in this world while I was killing the corporeal beast, then another time when I went to charge my glories. I hopped into his CC and made this video. It's in HD but you need to watch it full screen, and even then quality isn't amazing.

Wow, i can read it a bit and he said not even 550% of the community would be enough to bring it back and that the vote would need and excess of 1m votes from the referendum. I hope he's just bullshitting because i doubt we will reach 1m votes ffs.

Well even if we get 250K votes a week it is still a possibility that they will bring it back.

 

I doubt we would even get 150k votes a week now and you also have to remember that we prob need 1m YES votes there's still people voting no.

ah you're right, still we will never reach 1m imo so if he's not bullshitting about needing a excess of 1m votes we're screwed.

 

Yeah, I don't even know why they care about the numbers, its clearly in favor at 90%, and wont swing the other way round any time soon. Really looks as if they will turn this back at the community saying something along the lines of how they couldn't instate this update due to the lack of numbers, clearly the communities fault and not their manipulative business methods.

 

That's completely idiotic. If the few people of the player base voted for a yes, why the hell does he say that it might not be enough. If the rest of the player base cared enough they would just vote no or yes or w/e. They either don't give a damn about it or they just are inactive. They should have no vote in this so why make it impossible to make a decision if they don't care!

I really don't think votes matter, because it looks like they have made their decision already.

 

I don't know the truth anymore. I thought for a while that we would for sure get it back. But if we need more than 1million votes, my hopes are quite low. I could almost see this as a way of getting more money from members and more people entering the game. If they do fk us over, there are going to be mass riots. I would hope they would all get killed brutally.

 

Hmmm, starting to wonder a bit my self, but still I doubt they would overturn what we already have. If 1 million is the magic number of the "player base" to achieve a good depiction of active players, then we will win no matter what (we being the YES voters). I mean, 90% currently vote "YES" so thats about 540k of the 600k votes, meaning that if we ended it right here and assumed everyone else voted "NO" from here to 1 million, we would still have a 54% majority. And obviously we will get at least another 100-200k in 2 more weeks, so at that point, we will have enough "YES" voters to be 72% if you add "NO" votes to 1million.

Like some others, I believe this is a ploy to make more money. At first I sided with Jagex because who wouldn't take an easy buck when they saw one? I understood that an update this big should benefit them as well as the players, but this is getting out of hand. If this is truly a marketing scheme to get more members and more visits for more add money, then they have passed the line of OK tactics to just plain desperate. They are milking this one dry and although we all want this update very badly, it doesn't change the fact that we are still there loyal players and we do not enjoy being patronized for some quick money.
