FireZ- Unhappy

The person in question is an active, contributing member of a site that condones actions which are wrong, legally and morally. The person has posted on said site asking for tools and information on how to partake in these activities, and has made posts about phishing, recovering accounts, etc. The proof is more then sufficient, did you even read through the entire dispute and the proof shown?

Its not based on feeling in any way, perhaps take a bit more time to read through before attacking someone for helping to keep the site clean of malicious members?

 

How are they overpowered? Lets see,
Okay lets see.
#1 Sythe, he gets to be overpowered cause its his fucking site.
#2 Administrator, has the ability to reverse any of the lower mod's decisions, and is personally approved by the big boss Sythe.
#3 Globals, which is FireZ.

As you can see, they are quite powerful arent they? If FireZ had made any blunders that an Admin does not like they could reverse it, and on top of that if it continues to be a problem, they could demote him.

But they dont, so now what? If the admins who are pretty powerful themselves approve of FireZ's efforts to protect the site. Does that make them overpowered?

I'll guarantee you this, Sythe isnt a democracy. there is no such term as overpowered or underpowered. Sythe(the user) gives them the ability to do such things himself. And so far so good. Grow up seriously.

 

I'm not talking about this in particular. But, I am referring to the post Matt had. Firez said he's good at guessing who's potentially harming anything and they will be banned.

Infractions mean nothing, they are little warnings to tell you to stop being stupid.

And you seem to be the arrogant one bringing up MY join date. I'm a member of this Site and proud to be and i have as much right to be here and debate with you as anyone else.

I know i do not know it all, but im getting the hang of it. I'm still fairly new to this site, however i do make logical assessments of people. Both of us wont be changing our positions and that is that.
Im going to sleep and do not feel i should continue arguing with someone who just doesn't understand that guessing is part of a good game strategy to removing a threat ASAP to protect the site.

Do you know how an antivirus works? they bring up a bunch of potentialviruses, of which some may not actually be viruses? But Guess what, you should lock them up away anyways then check online about it. Does this seem oddly familiar? locking away threats beforehand? And antiviruses DO guess which is why theres a restore button.

Bitdefender, Avast, AVG, Norton 360 all guess, so don't try to say im using a crap antivirus.

Would you ban a phisher that failed and was never able to phish somebody?

 

Would you charged a man who attempted to steal but was never able to steal from anybody.

I certainly would.

 

As i said in another post "We're all missing the point here. The user was banned to PROTECT the community, FireZ and all the other mods that investigated this case made the RIGHT decision, regardless of whether it was hypocritical or not."

I see your point Gohan, and it is a good point. Though what is the use of a Feedback section if the staff/site is given feedback (even from previous mods, Kai) and it is not taken into strong consideration. What is there to be said about the effectiveness of staff if they are too stubborn to change from their ways, being that their ways are wrong? If feedback is not taken into account then this is an ineffective member? What does this show about the community when the staff is ineffective? It shows an ineffective community.

Point is: Though the feedback may not be good, they shouldn't take it personal and learn a lesson. Adapt and change...

I can't tell if this thread is a bitchfest about me or a bitchfest about banning for offsite offenses. Seem to be mixed.


Bans aren't based upon a guessing game, you guys need to think for 1 minute.

I know the feeling......and the feeling of being wrongfully TWC'd.

Well it is an instaban here. Thats the rules and thats how they are currently being enforced.

Obvious bans are obvious. Also I always let dispute forum threads stay in there for 24 hrs for anyone else to have a look over them. NEVER had 1 pm about any of them.

I don't even move 50% of the disputes I do and if someone else archives them then that means they approved with my decision as well.

I misbanned a lot when I first started but have only misbanned 2 in the past month. Also you probably think that every ban that gets overturned was automatically a wrongful ban at the time of the banning, well they weren't.

Wrong context from you yet again. I do guess who is potentially harmful, they get an investigation and if a rule was broken they are banned.

I don't play "Spin the bottle" and just ban whoever it lands on.

Users aren't banned off success, they are banned off intention. Its called being proactive.





Lastly guys I am taking feedback from you but most of it is just filled with hatred for whatever reason. I cannot change overnight either. I have toned down in the dispute forum as of late.

If you guys could HELP for once rather then just attack attack attack, I would be 10x more willing to listen to you and adapt "faster". Like Gohan said this is going to take 2 sides and effort must come from all around.

Also I don't think some people enjoy the "intense" style but I mod at work a lot so I come across as much more serious and intense then I really am. I am honestly pretty chill all the time.


Regarding harshness: I wasn't born on sympathy lane or cupcake drive. I don't give people forgiveness where it isn't deserved. Most of these people who end up banned at 1 point or another didn't give any forgiveness to whoever they were offending. Yet that seems to be alright. Its not with me though.

I also make a lot of decisions and inevitably there are going to be some that you guys won't agree with. If I do anything wrong then someone else will mention it to me and I will take a 2nd look and make sure the right decision gets made.


Lastly I'd request you guys stop turning every single thread into a fight about me, whether its the OP or the responders. It just looks like 2 sides lining up their support and going at it continuously and its getting tiring.

Also a lot of the people who disagree with my banning philosophy don't/wouldn't ban anyone for anything they do.
