Gold4RS market...? BS

I was going to order 150m or so today for one of my accounts, and all the prices rose bloody 50% 150m was 223$USD now its over 300$, why is this? If anything they should be lowering the prices with everything crashing and free trade coming back now and people not need them to supply money when they can farm for themselves?

I'm not sure why the prices on the site are changing but it would be better to buy the gold from a trusted member on this site.

It will be much faster and cheaper.

Maybe they are trying to rise prices to discourage members to buy gold so they cant stock up on it for free trade coming up soon. Just a suggestion.

 

All companies have had to raise prices since junk is impossible to offload now. The GE has totally changed.

Because items will have no specific value in Free Trade, the junk market has crashed terribly. Junk has value because Jagex has forced a value upon it. It is wealth, and therefore has usefulness during the current Grand Exchange era. However, in free trade that all dissipates. Nobody needs 10,000 talismans. Nobody needs 20M Raw Shrimps. These are all items that were only useful for GE merchanting, and during Free Trade you would just throw them out of your bank.

 

Also, there's less gp out there than people think. Most of it is stored in various rares/"junk" that will be severely lower in value when trade limits are removed.

Also, gold4rs is just a shoddy company

 

Ahh okay thanks that makes a lot of sense, It's just weird because they specifically said theyd be lowering there prices, and believe me i know Gold4rs has stressed me out so much in my life there so annoying.

Who would you suggest i buy gold from and for what price?

Well, my rates are still under $2/M for any order 20M+, and I would like to think I have a much better reputation than Gold4RS. It's important to note that right now the GP market is in a state of transformation. There is a lot of work that has gone into streamlining the processes and making the industry flow with the current GE restrictions. It is probably the most advanced MMORPG market anywhere, considering the complexities put forth with the trade limit.

When it is coupled with an influx of orders during the holidays, it's a double whammy. A lot of companies are having trouble keeping up. It took me up until today to finally have things back to usual.

 

Do you think in the long run the price of GP will rise or fall compared to what it was a few weeks ago?

 

Gold is probably going to keep rising, Gold4RS are probably trying to take their gold and dump it for as much as they can before the gold price lowers in the first 3 months of Free Trade.

Well, like RsPleasent said, everything is basically out of control atm. He himself, said he just got things straightened out today and he's much more organized then gold4rs. The price increase may be due to stop people from ordering at the moment by raising the price but not shutting down in order to give them time to complete whatever they are doing.

 

Maybe they no if free trade comes back there sites going to be worthless, and they no people will by of sites like sythe for alot cheaper and faster.

 

Also, think about it this way, an items value doesn't really matter if you are using that item for its purpose, a fury for its stat bonuses, a whip for its hard hits, ect......... If all of these are crashing in price, then the amount of gold it takes to acquire said items is less obviously but the items value hasn't changed its stats, it still works the same, helps the same, hits just as hard, and heals just as much, its usefullness hasn't changed. So it should be worth the same technically.

Pretty much, if you can get a once 18mil fury for 9mil, shouldnt buying that 9 mil from a goldseller cost twice as much since it helps you obtain the same item with the same stats and the same power?
