Looking at getting a new laptop.

My current laptop, a compaq presario something or other [3+ years old - bottom of the range then computer etc etc] overheats when charging + playing rs on minimal graphics.................. obviously i need a new one.

I'm looking at maybe a Toshiba Qosimo f60/05M? [what it's got in the brochure] and it has the following specs:
intel quad core i7 1.73Ghz with turbo boost up to 2.93Ghz
    6gb ram
    640gb hd
    blu ray rom/dvd burner
    1gb graphics card
    windows 7 home premium.

will this let me run rs with minimal lag on whatever settings? i'm fed up with dcing in pvp and want something new for when wildy comes back. If this isn't suitable, can you please make a few suggestions? also i'm not too sure on the battery life, are there any decent laptops with great battery life as i'll probably use the computer for uni next year. As you can tell i'm not really much of a tech-head so any help is much appreciated, thanks!

[also my budget is somewhere around the $2000 mark - this comp is $1374]

Comparing what you have to my computer, you should be fine. I also have a 1GB Graphics card and 4GB of RAM and Windows XP and RuneScape runs with little if any lag on its highest settings. The intel quad core i7 1.73Ghz should also be great for playing RuneScape.

1.73 Ghz isn't much. A bottom of the line acer has 1.5Ghz.

Although, with the "turbo boost" tp 2.9Ghz, it should be fine.

^ That's what I was thinking but is an i7 with a lower Ghz better than an i3 with a higher one?

    thanks for the feedback also.

    edit: this is my gameplay.

    it's a laptop, 1.73GHz is perfectly normal for a laptop i7.
i7 is a quad, i3s are dual, so yeah the i7 is better.
