Regarding Wilderness Skilling

Ok, this is to reiterate what most have said.

For all the post free trade/wilderness skillers out there, here are some facts.

Ok so there are about 160 worlds. Only 8 or so are bounty hunter worlds.

There are usually between 500-1500 players on each bh world at a given time (lower for nights, higher for peak hours).

Thats 4000-10000 pkers doing their thing at one time.

75% (rough estimate) them are located in Edge, and a few are beyond level 10 wildy.

That means 25% (1000-2500) of the pkers are far beyond the ditch, where skillers usually skill.

Take 1000/160 = 6.25.
Take 2500/160 = 15.625

So, you basically have about 6 players and 16 players for the rest of the wilderness, past level 10.

6 players! That's a ridiculously low amount. Even 16 is low!

And remember, most pkers will crowd to common pk worlds, such as 68 and 17.

There will be even less of a chance to find a pker in the wildy that deep at a random world, such as world 85, for example.

It will be even less dangerous than skilling in today's wildy, because of the revs being removed.

AND FOR ALL THOSE POST 07 SKILLERS:

It was a rare occurrence to meet another player in common skilling spots, since there were so many worlds. Also, if you did see a player, there was a small chance he was within your combat level.

Now, some people might complain about Rune Rocks. Rune Rocks were always a hot location to pk skillers. And it should be, because rune is a rare rock, previously only in one spot. However, with the recent update including the Dungeoneering bonus room in the Falador mine, you can get other rune rocks.

The wildy was there as a challenge. You risked when you went there, and the rewards were great.

Stop whining and learn the methods of the Pre 08 player.

I don't see what skilling there really is to do in the wilderness... Only rune rocks and even now people hardly use those. If anything the price of rune rocks will go up a bit witch is not a bad thing seeing how low they have gotten due to 2k10 updates.

I think there are agility courses and other stuff idk tho, but like u said nothing much 2 really do anyway

At the moment no one uses the rune rocks in the wild simply because of Revs, the amount of time it takes to travel back to the bank and kMiner (which is what most people use) does not support rune rocks out in the wild. Skilling in the wild is a bit unheard of anyway. Only other thing in the wild people do/did is green dragons, which I'm assuming the amount of people doing those will dramatically drop since it will be attackable areas.
