Add leaking to the rules page

If you are going to ban people are posting leaked information that can easily be found on Google, then at least add it to the rules page.

SL shouldn't be leaked in the first place, and when it is, it should be common knowledge not to post it for everyone to see. >.>

Well typically, its a not a rule for the general public here, But it is a rule for Staff, which I'll add that all Mods must agree to, breaking this rule is a demotion (if very minor) to a ban, Bringing back up this information is OBVIOUSLY going to be a ban, i mean, you'd have to be the most stupid person in existence to not think it would be ban worthy.

Not to mention, Its not even a simple google term, its not like you could type in 'Sythe Leaks', its a very specific search, so its not something 'That can be found on google'.

This is also basically an attempt to get XSafire's ban revisited, which I much highly doubt will happen.

Typically not a rule for the general public? It is or it isn't a rule. If you are going to ban people for something, make it known. Then, most of the time it will not happen.

You can find staff lounge leaks on Google very easily.

Do not try to say what this is. You have no idea. This is an attempt to make the rules and bans fair.

We don't expect for it to be applied to normal users, but posting something that a Moderator got banned for is clearly going to be a bannable offence.

Only with prior knowledge to the leaking.

Leaking bans are fair, And as normally leaks are made by moderators, the rule exists (In the SL, making the rule fair), Some bans obviously wont always fit into the codified rules.

I have a question. Why is leaking a bannable offence?

If someone doesn't have enough common sense to leave leaked things alone, then they deserve a ban anyway. If staff members get penalized for leaks, wouldn't you think a normal user sharing leaked info would get penalized too? Just because you are not staff and have info, doesn't mean you can show the whole world what you have.
Also, Sythe staff reserve the right to ban when they feel necessary. In Xsafire's case, I believe it was.

Confidential and sensitive information should not be discussed outside of a Private section, They are warned before so (even though its common sense).

    EDIT

    Why?

That is reason to not leak, not reason to ban leakers. I personally do not believe that leaking deserves a ban. Purposely spreading leaked information for malicious reasons obviously does, but for non-malicious reasons it does not. At least not a permanent ban as it accomplishes nothing but take another chip away from the community. However, I am getting off-topic.

Essentially, it is not exactly fair to ban someone for something if it is not on the rules page, as long as it is not malicious.

We can arbitrarily ban users as we see fit.
