Another Staking Question

Alright so before you guys flame the shit out of me, understand that I lived in the wild and never really staked, even though I played this game when those activities were the most popular. I had an idea for an account and would just like to know how it would fair in the dueling arena. The stats would be something like 20-70-70. Any feedback is appreciated.

 

Could you post what your setup would be? Armor,weapons ect.

 

I was feeling something along the lines of CVLS, with dragon or barrows armor if I get 70 def. with a poisoned mith dagger and obviously maxed out jewelry, money isn't a problem for the account really

 

Sounds like that account would do so work. Though most people like to stake with no armor on and I'm thinking they are going to add a "No degradeables" option but I could be wrong. Also you could bump that defense up to 75 so you could wear a DFS

 

high str and high defence were always a good idea people would use full veracs at like lvl 40 or something crazy theres so many more options now though.

 

Well I never staked much either because I was very poor way back when pre-07 update, but I think you got the right idea. In staking, Tanks win most of the time, its all about dps (damage per second) because most fights are foodless anyways. If you don't take damage, doesn't matter how little you can actually deal you will still always win and be able to laugh for the entirety of the 10 minutes it takes you to kill them slowly as they smack 0's on you constantly and yell things such as "defense noob!" and "ffs HIT!".

Also, I believe the wilde items such as CVLS will show more prominently in staking because tbh I don't see them being worth it to use in normal pking. In there present situation you can just do like me and use it til it's almost fully degraded and then just die with it, granting yourself its full value in dp%, which you will aquire the cost of the VLS back within your next 3 or 4 drops due to the massive dp% increase, then just buy another one and do it again.

Now that you only obtain items they had on, or in the dueling case the items that they staked, you could pick and choose when to use the vls so that you only degrade it when you are in a fight that will grant you plenty of winnings to buy another one.

 

Looks good in theory go for an abnormally high constitution lvl aswel?

 

There was a lot of tricks in old staking a lot of rangers try to trick you into using no shield then use knives, or really the high defence is the main one people get high defence and high str and low cb often 1 pray and very low attack and just demolish people.

 

Yeah I am keeping it at 1 prayer for sure, the account has good hp and is only about 54 cb at 20-60-54, I could really do a pretty good job with this build I think even WITHOUT a CVLS

Sw prod an extra 200lp? Its not a typical old skl build but 1 that will catch ppl off gaurd

Oh I get it, because I just never finished botting on the account, my original plan was a pretty creative one, but then everyone got the idea. Make an account in the older wild/beginning of new pvp with 20-60-60 and just go to work on kids in the wild w/ obby maul and torso etc.

 

What would you wield instead of cvls? Your options really are quite limited.

 

Do a range pure. They beast for staking

 

I would just run with with mith dagger poisoned and maybe an obby maul, I really don't know actually
