Why do we dispresect our parents?

Most of us disrespect our parents why though? Why can't we be civil with them and be fair?

I love my dad, i hate my mom though.
But personally, i think the parent would rather you live. They say the hardest thing for a parent is the kid dying before them.

Not everyone disrespects their parents. I would guess that some people don't like being told what and what not to do.

Sometimes arguing with them doesnt mean I am fighting back... I just reason out and not disrespecting them.

 

My parents are dead. I live with a step family.

 

i love my parents but for some reason i fight with my mom more than anyone. and she has done more for me than anyone in my life. i think maybe its because it is easier to relieve anger/stress on those closest to us. it is an unfortunate thing

I don't normally disrespect my parents but me and my mom have been known to get into arguments>_<
