Text is awful , everything ealse looks decent

 

I dislike the shading on the 2nd, also i agree with llama the text looks to basic.

 

The text was slapped on, the second one was for a guy on a game. He didn't buy, he decided to go in a different direction.

Effects look messy on the first, and text is really slapped on there. Second is more consistent in terms of style and colours, but needs some more spread of those effects. Text in general needs work, better to keep it off than to slap it on for the sake of having text (or for a customer, in which case you should take more time doing text)
