Well, the GE's limit is being removed on item prices, so do you think everyone will go back to W2 Fally Park? Do you think flipping will be worse, or it just won't work? Will Merch clans be come obsolete? Is the game being restored to it's old glory?

 

In the GE you'll be able to sell anything for any price you want - Bye merch clans.

W2 fally will be more of use as people will be prepared to pay more for higher end goods all packed into one location.

 

But wouldn't the any price thing be sort of uh...worthless? I mean newer players won't really know what to pay for them. :O

 

I'm guessing you'll sell something in ge for 1k, if someone else is selling for 999 theirs will still be sold first.

 

I still sort of won't understand the new GE. If they do this they should just remove it completely. :l

 

I think its just lame.. and we are going to see how its going to work out haha

 

I believe it should be made just like the auction house in WoW.

 

I reckon the prices in G.E should still be the same. So it gives a rough estimation of prices of items.

Since G.E is a quick sell, they must make it so the prices are reasonable.

Thats my opinion though.

You should be able to browse existing offers so you can get a general idea of what people are willing to pay for an item.

Just leaving people to stab in the dark will result in them returning to the old prices set by Jagex....

 

Now it will go back to what are you willing to buy/sell your stuff for not what it is worth.

I definitly agree with the auction house style of things, I kind of see the view behind allowing the market price to remain because I have messed around with other online MMO's but the main reason i didn't get into them is because It was hell trying to learn an entire new economy. Not knowing the street price of anything is frustrating and you know your getting burned left and right by veteran players, so the market price will help a little to help noobies get a decent amount of gp for there items. BUT, this also greatly hinders luring so ehhh, idk what I want....

 

flipping wont be obselete it exsisted in a more extreme form before the ge (buying Dmeds for 200k ea selling them 250k ea) but flipping via the ge yeah thatll be gone with no limits.... then in saying that buying bulk items and selling bulk items at the desired price would be easier. but the 2.5% flip will be dead.
Merch clans yep theyre finally dead but theyll probably jump onto another scam.
